CHAPTER V

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter presents the findings, conclusion and recommendations of the study

that focus on the Effectiveness of the Customized Reading Module.

Summary and Findings

The study conducted a pre and post-reading test. This was administered to the 2

non-reader students of San Fernando National High School. Out of 7 respondents, 2

only attended the pre and post-reading test, so that the convenience sampling was used

which means that the respondents are selected because of their convenient

accessibility and closeness to the study

Furthermore, according to the result of the study, the non-reader students have a

higher percentage in post-reading test than the pre-reading test. With this, the study

found out that the customized reading module is effective in improving the reading skills

of the non-reader students.

Conclusions

The researchers conclude that the customized reading module is very effective

for those students who are not capable to read. Their ability to read when they used the

reading module was better than before without the reading module.
Recommendations

The following paragraphs are some of the suggestion of the present study based

on the data gathered and presented.

For the future research. In order to find the best teaching strategies to help every

student, more research must take place.

It would be worthwhile for all the teachers, parents, and school to encourage the

student in their respective areas of responsibilities, such as providing a learning material

to those who are not capable to read. These will help to motivate positively the students

and also to improve their grades.

Parents should improve the level of control and care of their children, they must

show more interest concern in academic and know the doings of their child in school.

It is necessary for parents and teachers to maintain patience and warm

relationship with their child and students when it comes to enhancing their reading skill

and motivating especially on their academic.

These recommendations can be achieve by good relationship with their students

and child. Good counseling can be organized for students on good study habits,

improving reading comprehension and positive self-concept. School must provide

creative learning material to attract and to motivate the students.
