Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The service is lost.
This alarm indicates that the BTS detected an inconsistency in the DDM digital wiring.
All the TRM/iTRM do not detect the same number of DDM.
This may happen for instance if DDM slot 1 is connected to interco connector DDM4.
Note: the BTS is not able to detect all erroneous digital wiring.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The service is not guaranteed.
The alarm indicates that the DDM has lost its configuration.
This alarm is only detected for sites configured with Tower Masterhead Amplifiers (TMAs).
This is probably due to an internal reset of the DDM. In particular, this may happen in some
BTS 12020 and with some hardware releases of DDM, after a power on of a MCPA module.
On detection of the lost DDM configuration, the BTS automatically reconfigures the DDM.

BTS (in particular, the PCR and SCR).
AAL2 OVERFLOW
This alarm indicates that a neighboring node has signaled to the BTS an upstream connectivity
failure.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The service supported by this VCC is lost
This alarm indicates that the configuration report generated when connecting to the BTS, could
not be decoded.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The BTS is not managed by the OMC-B
This alarm indicates that there is a loss of communication with the BTS. The loss of
communication can be due to several events like a restart of the BTS, a failed link, etc.
This alarm is raised:
• after the OAM-BTS link is unlocked by operator,
• when OAM-BTS link is seen faulty (detected by OAM Link surveillance),
• at reception of the message CONNECT_REQUEST coming from the BTS.
This alarm is cleared at the reception of the message NE_IS_READY coming from the BTS.
It is possible to have consequently 2 alarms LOSS OF SUPERVISION. For example, after a
OAM-BTS link unlocked, a first alarm is raised. This alarm will remain until the
CONNECT_REQUEST is received by the OAM. At this time, this alarm is cleared and a
second one is raised. This second alarm will be cleared when the NE_IS_READY message is
received.
The 2 alarms are never visible together in the GUI.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The capacity is lost.
LOSS OF SUPERVISION
RAN managed object BTSEquipment
Equipment Type N/A
Event Type communications
Probable Cause communicationsSubsystemFailure
Severity CRITICAL
Impact on BTS operation The BTS Equipment supervision is lost.
Reason The protocol between the OMC-B and the BTS is
unavailable.
LOSS OF SUPERVISION
Remedial Action
• If the BTS is being restarted, wait for the re-
start to complete.
• Check the link between the BTS and the
OMC-B.
• If the alarm persists, call the next level of
support.
This alarm is generated in case of inability of Performance server to retrieve the Measurement
files. This alarm is not an indication of connection status with the NE. This alarm is generated
when the NE is down, the link is down or in case of bad useridpassword. This alarm is raised
once for the same condition.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The BTS is not operational.
This alarm indicates that the OAMLinkAdministrativeState has been locked by an operator in
order to stop communicating with a Network Equipment (in this case, the BTS). The parameter
unknownStatus is automatically set to true.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The BTS Equipment supervision is lost.
This alarm indicates that we have a configuration report which is inconsistent with the data
available at the OMC-B.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The BTS is not operational.
MIB INCONSISTENT
RAN managed object BTSEquipmentMIB
Equipment Type N/A
Event Type quality of service
Probable Cause corruptData
Severity CRITICAL
Impact on BTS operation The BTS is not operational.
Reason
• software failure
• The MIB file is present, but invalid.
Remedial Action
• The BTS will report another alarm to specify
which kind of test failed during configuration,
so check these alarms to find the root cause.
• Rebuild the BTS. For more information on
the build command, refer to Access Network
OAM Commands (411-8111-512).
This alarm indicates that the measurement files retrieved are corrupted or have a wrong
format. This alarm is raised once for the same condition.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
File not arrived [late file or lost file]:
dynamicDATA[MissingFileName]
This alarm indicates that we have a configuration report with the parameter mibState
(BTSEquipementMIB object) equal to not built.
This alarm indicates that the measurement files did not arrived in the expected time interval.
This alarm is raised once for the same condition.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
Loss of connection: dynamicDATA[connectionErrorOrLoginFailure]
This alarm appears when the operator activates a new software release and that the software
release of the BTS is different from the requested release.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The BTS is not operational.
This alarm indicates that the software release is unknown by the OMC-B.
The runningSoftwareVersion parameter (BTSEquipmentSoftware object) received during the
connection phase has not been found in the Software Repository Server (SRS).
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
Threshold overcross on counter dynamicDATA[counterName]
Engineering teams associate threshold rules and conditions to counters to monitor the overall
health of the network in almost real time. Upon violation of these conditions the authorized
users shall be notified through email, paging, or alarms of the degradation of the performance
of the network and their root causes. These thresholds are checked on the fly when receiving
observation records coming from RNC or BTS.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
Bad data file: dynamicDATA[corruptedFileName]
This alarm indicates that the operationalState parameter (Aal2Bearer object) is set to
disabled and the availablityStatus parameter (Aal2Bearer object) is set to failed.
CAUTION
Impact on service and/or on the equipment
The mibState parameter (BTSEquipmentMIB object) is set to not
built.
