Honorary Chairs
ANTHONY M. MUIR, ESQ., AND SARA MUIR

Tony Muir, WAHS ’62, is the Vice President of the Foundation and also serves as
the Governance Chair. As a community volunteer, Tony presently serves as the
President of the Muhlenberg College Board of Associates and has served as
President of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches and Chair of the Second
Harvest Food Bank Advisory Board. He helped to establish the Foundation’s
Volunteer Literacy Program and serves as a volunteer reader. He believes that
literacy is the key to academic success. Before retiring, he was a partner in a law
firm of Scoblionko, Muir, Bartholomew and Melman. He is a graduate of the
University of Virginia and Hastings College of the Law at the University of California.

Sara ‘JoJo’ Muir is currently a volunteer reader in a kindergarten class at Jackson Early Childhood Center. She has
worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) and managed
the Make Your Mark program of the Boys and Girls Club of Allentown at Sheridan Elementary. As the mother of a
teacher at Dodd Elementary School, JoJo has a deep interest in the value of public education. In prior years, she
volunteered with the Society of the Arts of the Allentown Art Museum and the Development Advisory Board of
Mercy Special Learning Center. Her involvement with the district and community programs reflects her resolve to
make a difference in the lives of students.

Mr. and Mrs. Muir have three children and six grandchildren. The Muir’s daughter, Liz China, is a special education
teacher at Hiram Dodd Elementary School in Allentown.

JOHN S. STEVENS, JR., D.O., AND ANITA STEVENS

Dr. John Stevens, DHS ’63, has served with distinction on the ASDF Board of
Directors since 2014. He is an OB-GYN physician for St. Luke’s University Health
Network and has been on the National Certifying Board for OB-GYN for 25 years.
John has been a member of the Lehigh Valley Mental Health Intellectual Disabilities
Advisory Board and the Dieruff High School Alumni Association as well as a volunteer
for the Lehigh Valley Cancer Society. He obtained his medical degree from Temple
Pharmacy and is a member of the alumni association. His D.O. degree is from the
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a proud Dieruff High School
alumnus. His dedication to the Allentown School District is demonstrated by the continued investment he makes in
ASDF initiatives.

Anita Stevens, WAHS ’63, dedicated her career to elementary education, and retired from Allentown School District
after serving more than 30 years as a teacher at Lehigh Parkway Elementary School. Today, she is involved with both
the Foundation and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) and she volunteers her time as a
kindergarten reader, and also serves as a member of the ASDF Teacher Innovation Grant Committee. A graduate of
William Allen High School, Anita obtained her education degree from Kutztown University. She remains dedicated to
enriching the learning experiences for Allentown’s students.

OUTDOOR TRUMPETER

OUTDOOR SAXOPHONIST
Miller, Benjamin Ben Miller (Alto Sax) is a senior at William Allen High School. He started playing the saxophone in 4th grade at
Muhlenberg Elementary, and he continued that at Trexler Middle School. He started playing flute and clarinet at Trexler.
He wants to major in music education at college and would like to thank Eric Moser. This is his fifth gala.
WILLIAM ALLEN INSTRUMENTAL
Batista, Richard Richard Batista (Drum Set) is a senior at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (LVPA) where he closely
studies the French Horn and percussion. Richard began playing the drum set in 4th grade along with several other
instruments. He is an active member of the WAHS marching band, Starcross Indoor Percussion, the LVPA wind ensemble,
orchestra, and percussion ensemble. This will be his 3rd year of involvement in the gala representing Allen. Richard would
like to thank his friends and family for the support and Mr. Moser for the opportunity to be involved in this year’s pit
orchestra.
Chauca, Jasmine Jasmine Chauca (Trombone 2) is a senior at WAHS who began playing trumpet as a 4th grader at Union Terrace
Elementary School. Then, she started playing many different instruments besides trumpet throughout her freshman year
to her junior year. For example, she started playing guitar her freshman year, baritone her sophomore year, and trombone
this year. Jasmine is involved in many afterschool clubs. She is in the orchestra, marching band, concert band, and jazz
band. Jasmine is excited to be playing in the gala again for her fourth time. She would like to thank her music teacher Mr.
Moser and her mother who have helped her along the way.
Ciommo, Quinn Quinn Ciommo (Electric Bass) is a sophomore at William Allen High School. Quinn started playing Bass in 5th grade at
Community Music School (CMS). Quinn plays flute and bass in concert band, marching band, jazz band, and orchestra.
Quinn is a Star scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Quinn would like to thank his late bass teacher James Craig.
Herrera, Melody Melody Herrera (Piano, Violin) is a sophomore and making another appearance in an Allen production. She is no
stranger to performing in a pit, this being at least her third performance in the pit orchestra. In 2017 and 2018, she
performed in the HIGH NOTES Gala as a violinist. Melody is an active member of Silver Strings. Aside from playing music,
Melody is involved in SGA and Canaries for Life, and she plays for the Allen tennis team. She thanks the ASD Foundation
for its “endless support,” and she hopes that everyone enjoys the performance!
Logan, Albert Albert Logan (Trumpet/Baritone) is a sophomore at William Allen High School participating in his first gala. A former
swimmer with a passion for music, Albert plans to become either a teacher or a musician. He would like to thank Mr.
Moser.
Martinez, Karen Karen Martinez (Alto Saxophone, Clarinet) is a sophomore at William Allen High School performing in her first gala. She
is involved in baking, chess, tennis, environmental, Key Club, marching band, and orchestra student organizations. Karen
would like to thank the ASD Foundation, parents, and Eric Moser.
Maurtua, David David Maurtua (Alto Sax II) started playing Alto Saxophone in 5th grade. He’s involved in many instrumental activities,
such as Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band and Marching Band. He also plays piano for his church. This is his second year
in the HIGH NOTES Gala and he would like to thank the ASD Foundation for recognizing the Canary Cavaliers.
Mercedes, Eli Eli Mercedes (Guitar) is a freshman at William Allen High School performing in his first gala. A member of the Gay
Straight Alliance, he is considering careers in music and art. Eli says, “I want to thank my mom and grandpa; they’ll
always love me no matter how much I mess up.”

Pagan, Omar Omar Pagan (Tenor Sax II) is a junior at WAHS. He began playing Alto Sax as a 6th grader at Raub Middle School. Omar
is involved in the community, volunteering community service and helping for events within his school. He is involved with
marching band, concert band, and jazz band. Omar is very excited to be a part of his third HIGH NOTES Gala and wants to
thank the people who have helped him get to this point.
Ramirez, Gabriela Gabriela Ramirez (Violin) makes a fourth appearance for pit for HIGH NOTES. She is an active member of Silver
Strings under the direction of Lawrence Flynn. Gabriela started violin in 5th grade and is now a junior at William Allen
High School. She is part of stage crew for this year’s Allen production and wishes to see you there. Gabriela is thrilled to
participate in this year’s HIGH NOTES and hopes for a good show.
Rodriguez, Malkomx Malkomx Rodriguez (Trombone) is a freshman at William Allen High School participating in his first gala. He is engaged
in swimming and Leading Edge Martial Arts. Malkomx hopes to become an astronaut for NASA. He would like to thank
Mr. Moser.

Rounds, Alexis Alexis Rounds (Tuba & Trombone) Alexis started playing tuba her freshman year of high school at William Allen. She
plays in the marching band and concert band on tuba. This year, Alexis has played tuba in the PMEA District 10 Band, and
the County Band. She also picked up trombone to play in jazz band and the pit for Sister Act. Alexis also has been playing
cello since the third grade at Muhlenberg Elementary and is currently playing cello in the orchestra. In her middle school
years at Trexler, Alexis participated in the school musicals. Alexis hopes to go to college at the Juilliard School of Music.
She wants to become a professional pit player for Broadway on the tuba.
Siguencia, Catherine Catherine Siguencia (Trumpet) is a junior at William Allen High School performing in her first gala. She is involved with
21st Century, Upward Bound, an SAT prep class, and Jazz Band. After high school, Catherine plans to go to college. She
wants to thank her mom for always being understanding and pushing her to do her best.
Moser, Eric Eric Moser (Canary Cavaliers Jazz Band Director) is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania and holds
a BS in Music Education & a Master’s Degree in Education from Cabrini University. This is his 12th year working in the
Allentown School District. Through his twelve years in A.S.D., Mr. Moser taught elementary & secondary general music.
He was also the band director at Trexler Middle School for two years and a vocal director at William Allen High school
for a year. This is his sixth year working as the Instrumental director of William Allen High School, as well as his fifth year
directing the Canary Cavaliers. Mr. Moser teaches concert band, marching band, jazz band, orchestra, pit. Orchestra, AP
music theory and piano classes at Allen High School. In his spare time, Mr. Moser loves all forms of outdoor activities. Mr.
Moser would like to extend his thanks to the ASD Foundation and Mr. Flynn for involving the Canary Cavaliers in the 2020
High Notes Gala.

Alvarado, David David Alvarado (Trumpet) has been playing trumpet since his freshman year of high school, and he has been
participating in music programs since 3rd grade (violin, flute). He is currently in concert and jazz band, which he feels are
both amazing. This is David’s first time participating in the HIGH NOTES program.
Andrews, Jamyah Jamyah Andrews (Flute) is a freshman at Louis E. Dieruff High School. It is Jamyah’s first time attending HIGH Notes.
She has played the flute for 4 years. Jamyah participates in both band and choir at Dieruff HIGH School. She also attended
Moravian Music camp in the summer of 2019. Jamyah is really looking forward to attending all the rehearsals and the
performance for Gala.
Cortez, James James Cortes (Guitar) is making his first appearance in HIGH NOTES. This is his first year doing the gala, and he’s
already loving it. James has been playing guitar for about three years now, and around that same time he picked up bass,
ukulele, and drums. This year, James is studying the Upright Bass, Keyboard, and different types of percussion. “I want to
do music as my full-time job and through the Allentown music program I feel like it’ll be possible.”
Escobales, N’dia N’dia Escobales (Tuba) is a 10th grader in the HIGH NOTES Gala for the third time. She’s been in band since 4th grade
and enjoys learning new instruments. N’dia also plays the flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, and the trumpet. She is the
co-captain in Dieruff’s Color Guard and the low brass section leader. She’s excited to work with everyone and make the
performance a success.
Forbes, Amiel Amiel Forbes (Alto-Saxophone, Electric Bass), a junior, is in his second year of the music-arts program and is focused on
playing and improving. He participated in 2019 County Band, the 2018 and 2019 seasons of Dieruff Marching Band, Jazz
Band, Concert Band, and this is his second year at the gala. Make sure to look out for his silver sax and listen when he
plays bass during the show!
Gamboa, Giovanni Giovanni Gamboa (Alto Saxophone) is a junior at Louis E. Dieruff High School and is glad to be making his third
appearance at the HIGH NOTES Gala Pit. Giovanni is involved in many other activities, such as Jazz Band, Concert Band,
Football, and more! Studying to become a Navy Seal, Giovanni is a straight-A student.
Gonzalez, Zeila Zeila Gonzalez (Flute) is in 12th grade, and she has been in the music arts program since 4th grade. This is her third year
in the gala’s pit. Zeila has also been in county band for the past three years, and she is a member of Dieruff’s Color Guard.
Zeila was also Drum Major of Louis E. Dieruff’s Marching Band for two seasons. She is excited and looking forward to
another opportunity to be in the Gala’s pit in 2020.
Herrera, Brianna Brianna Herrera (Violin and Flute) is a sophomore at Dieruff High School making her first appearance at High Notes.
Brianna’s love for music began when she was in 2nd grade, learning to play the violin at El Sistema Lehigh Valley for eight
years. She began playing flute in 4th grade and has been part of the Dieruff High School Marching Band since 8th grade,
and she is now the band president. Brianna has also participated in music groups such as the Young Musician String
Festival and County Band. After high school, Brianna hopes to become a violinist and a music teacher. She is very excited
to be a part of this year’s HIGH NOTES.
Jimenez, Jonathan Jonathan Jimenez (Trumpet) is a junior at Louis E. Dieruff High School. He is making his second appearance at the
HIGH NOTES Gala. He is the manager of the girls’ basketball team at Dieruff and likes to play basketball in his free time.
He plays in multiple ensembles including the jazz band, concert band, county band, and salsa band outside of school. He
enjoys playing music and hopes for the best for the performers and his fellow band members.

Xiushan, Li Xiushan Li (Flute), a sophomore at Dieruff High School, is making her first appearance in HIGH NOTES. Xiushan has
played the violin for five years and the flute for a little over two years. She is currently participating in the Class of 2022.
After high school, she plans to enter the business or medical field with a minor in the arts. She is very excited about the
opportunity to perform in this year’s HIGH NOTES.
Lopez, Jamie Jamie Lopez (Alto Saxophone) is a sophomore at Louis E. Dieruff High School. She plays indoor/outdoor track and
field, softball, lacrosse, and varsity field hockey, serves as a member of Key Club, Art Club, and the Spanish National
Honor Society, and is Class Secretary for the Class of 2022. Jamie plays saxophone in marching band, concert band,
and jazz band. Outside of school, she enjoys ice skating, dancing, painting, and martial arts. Jamie is very involved in
her community and received an award from the city of Allentown as “Most outstanding female participant!” Jamie is
currently studying to achieve her goal to work in astronomy and hopefully secure a job with NASA. 
Lopez, Jewel Jewel Lopez (Tenor Saxophone) is a sophomore at Louis E. Dieruff High School. This is her second appearance in HIGH
NOTES. She is a participant in Dieruff’s concert band, jazz band, and marching band. After she graduates, she plans to
follow her passion for music, and she would love to attend Moravian College for both playing instruments and singing.

Morales, Jr., Enrique Enrique Morales (Bari Sax)(Pit/DHS Jazz) plays Bari Sax and Tenor Sax. It’s his first year playing in the HIGH NOTES
Gala. Enrique started playing saxophone in 5th grade before he switched to Bari Sax, which is now his main instrument.
Enrique did marching band and enjoyed being part of the program last season. He also participates in concert band and
jazz band as well. Additionally, Enrique plays sports, such as soccer and basketball, as a freshman.
Penn, Aida Aida Penn (Trombone) is a sophomore at Dieruff High School. She is making her second appearance at the HIGH
NOTES Gala. Aida was selected to County Band this year. She has been the treasurer of her class for two years. She also
participates in concert band, marching band, and jazz band.
Pimental Ruiz, Naheira Pimental-Ruiz (Tuba) is a 9th grader at Louis E. Dieruff High School. This is Naheira’s first year playing for the
Naheira HIGH NOTES Gala as a member of the pit. Naheria began her musical journey in 3rd grade, starting on violin then moving
to flute and ultimately trombone. Naheira picked up the tuba in September of this past year. As well as being in her high
school band, jazz band, and choir, she is involved in many extracurricular activities—serving, for example, as president of
her freshman class. Naheira plans to go into a career in music education.
Rivera Camacho, Noreymi Rivera Camacho (Trombone) is in her third year playing for the HIGH NOTES Gala as a member of the pit.
Noreymi Noreymi began playing the Trombone when she was in 5th grade. Now she is in many of Dieruff High School’s ensembles
like Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Marching Band. She is a senior who plans to attend Kutztown University in the fall.
Rosario, Alondra Alondra Rosario (Viola) is a junior attending Louis E. Dieruff High School. This is currently her fourth year participating
in the HIGH NOTES. She began her music career in 3rd grade with the violin and switched to viola in seventh. She has
been part of the Silver Strings ensemble for four years. Alondra is also heavily involved in other extracurricular activities,
such as being the president of her junior class and the treasurer of Student Council. Alondra hopes to pursue a career in
science and engineering.
Rosario, Ambar Ambar Rosario (Violin), a sophomore at Dieruff High School, is making her fourth appearance at HIGH NOTES in the pit.
Her love of music began with the violin in 3rd grade at DES. She has also been part of the Silver Strings ensemble for four
years. This year Ambar played on the Dieruff High School volleyball team, and she is currently playing in the Starlings
volleyball club. She was also involved in Marching Band and Concert Band, and she was selected for County Band for
the past two years. Ambar is also currently the class president of her sophomore class. After she graduates, she plans to
become a violinist and a conductor. Ambar is thrilled to participate in this year’s HIGH NOTES!
Santiago, Antonio Antonio Santiago (Saxophone) is a freshman at Dieruff High School. He is a member of Jazz Band, Concert Band, and
Marching Band. He began playing the Tenor Sax in 5th grade and then moved on to Alto. Antonio is originally from the
Bronx, New York.
Santiago, Benjamin Benjamin Santiago (Trombone) is a freshman at Dieruff High School. This is his first year attending the Gala as
a musician in the pit. Ben is also involved in the Marching Band and the swim team, and he is interested in joining
other sports teams. Ben would like to thank Mr. Flynn and his friends for always believing in him and giving him the
opportunity to be in the gala this year.
Severino, Joshua Joshua Severino (Drum Set) is a senior at Louis E. Dieruff High School making his third appearance in HIGH NOTES.
Joshua is the Percussion Section Leader, and he performs on the Quads in Marching Band and with Snare and Timpani in
Concert Band. He was a member of this year’s County Band. Joshua also plays the piano, which he performs with the Jazz
Band. Tonight Joshua is making his debut performance on the drum set!
Torres, Jr., Jeremiah Jeremiah Torres, Jr., (Trumpet) has passionately been playing the trumpet since 3rd grade. Jeremiah has been involved
in the Dieruff High School band since his junior year, and he is currently a senior. This will be his first HIGH NOTES
appearance. Jeremiah actively participates in music studies at home and produces his own music. He hopes to have a
great time during this unique experience.

Tyler, Ericka Ericka Tyler (Pit) is a freshman at Louis E. Dieruff High School, and this is her first time attending the HIGH NOTES
Gala. She plays the Clarinet and has been playing it for five years. Ericka participates in both band and choir, and, in her
free time, she enjoys playing her clarinet and reading. Ericka is really looking forward to experiencing her first gala as a
freshman.
Marte, Kenneth Kenneth Marte (Dieruff Jazz Band Director)(Trumpet/Saxophone) Kenneth began directing DHS Jazz as a senior
at Dieruff High School. This is his third year directing the ensemble and the first year the group will be competing in
the Cavalcade of Bands Jazz Division and in the SteelStacks High School Jazz Competition. Kenneth performs with the
Moravian Big Band and a number of the local salsa orchestras. He remains heavily involved at the High School assisting
Flynn with the various other ensembles.
Flynn, Lawrence Lawrence Flynn (Pit Director) took the role of Band Director at Louis E. Dieruff High School in the fall of 2017. Prior
to this, Mr. Flynn directed an Elementary Strings program spanning the whole of Allentown, PA, and created several
after-school performing ensembles for students through high school. Mr. Flynn received the ‘Award for Excellence in
Arts Education’ from the Lehigh Valley Arts Council in 2011, and in 2016 he received the Allentown Arts Commission’s
‘Outstanding Educator in the Arts’ award. Mr. Flynn holds a BA in Music Composition and a BS in Music Education from
the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Flynn is proud to have been a part of every HIGH NOTES Gala. “A huge thanks
to all—past and present—who have worked to build the ASD Foundation into what it is today!”
WILLIAM ALLEN CHORALE
Albert-Stein, Elijah Elijah Albert-Stein is a sophomore at WAHS and is glad to be part of his third High Notes Gala! He is an active member of
Canaries for Life, Math Honors Society, SADD, Odyssey of the Mind, SGA, Allen’s musical, and the WAHS Chorale.
Barr, Jaden Jaden Barr (Chorale) is a sophomore at William Allen High School. This is his third HIGH NOTES Gala production. When
not performing with Chorale, Jaden is involved with theatre, currently as Monsignor O’Hara in Allen’s production of Sister
Act, and Drama Club. His future plans include majoring in either psychology or secondary education to become a U.S.
history teacher. Jaden would like to thank Mr. Remp, Mr. Sechler, and his family and friends for supporting him.
Chatman, Kassandra Kassandra Chatman (Danielle, Chorale) is a senior at William Allen High School. She was in Sister Act (Mother
Superior), Aida (Nubian/ Palace Girl), 13: The Musical (Ensemble), and so much more. She is in Chorale, William Allen
Construction Company, Student Government Association, Canaries for Life, Drama Club, and the National Honors Society,
and she is a cheerleader for Allen.

Danubio, CaSandra CaSandra Kay Danubio (Campbell, Chorale, WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen High School. This is
her fifth and final HIGH NOTES Gala production. With the spare time she has, which isn’t much, CaSandra takes part in
the Drama Club, SADD, Canaries for Life, and SGA. CaSandra would like to thank her friends and family for encouraging
her to always try her best. She would also like to thank everyone who was a part of putting this event together and her
directors who worked vigorously to bring this story to life.
Edwards, Nakima Nakima Edwards (WAHS Dance Academy/Chorale) is a senior at William Allen High School. This will be her second
year in Allen’s spring musical production. Last year she was in Sister Act (Ensemble). She is involved in many clubs and
activities such as William Allen Chorale, William Allen Dance Academy, Student Government, Canaries for Life, Drama
Club, and the William Allen Construction Company, and she is a varsity cheerleader.
Espiritusanto Marte, Lisandra Espiritusanto Marte (Chorale) is a senior at William Allen High School. She’s been a part of the past three
Lisandra musicals at Allen, most notably as Nehebka in Aida, for which she won the Freddy for Outstanding Performance by a
Female Ensemble Member. Aside from theatre, Lisandra likes to stay busy, partaking in Chorale, Key Club, and Mu Alpha
Theta. She’s been the vice president of SADD and an officer of the Drama Club, as well as the secretary of Canaries for Life.
She is the president of the Student Government Association, the captain of the Odyssey of the Mind team, and the CEO of
the William Allen Construction Company.
Estrada, David David Estrada (WAHS Dance Academy, Chorale) is currently a senior at William Allen High School, and he is performing
on behalf of the Allen Chorale, Allen Dance Academy, and Bring it On: as La Cienega. David is currently involved in over 10
activities at Allen, including SGA and Canaries for Life. This is his fifth and final year as a part of the Gala.
Kloss, Thomas Thomas Kloss
Martinez, Destiny Destiny Martinez (WAHS Dance Academy, Chorale) is a senior at William Allen High School. This is her first year in the
Dance Academy and her third year performing in the HIGH NOTES Gala. In addition, she is a member of the William
Allen High School Chorale. Destiny has been in William Allen’s productions of Aida (Palace Girl) and Sister Act (Tina/
Nunsemble), and she is currently taking on the role of Eva in Bring It On! She is very excited to be a part of the HIGH
NOTES Gala one last time!

Melton, Matea Matea Melton (Chorale) is a sophomore at William Allen High School. This is Matea’s second year in the Gala and her
first on stage performing during her first year of Chorale. She’s studied dance for 13 years and music and theatre for four.
This year also marks Matea’s third show at William Allen in Bring it On.
Miranda Bonilla, Sky Sky Miranda Bonilla (Chorale) is a sophomore at William Allen High School and a part of many clubs, such as student
government, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Canaries for Life, Math Honors Society, and Odyssey of the Mind.
Nagbe, Aliya Aliya Nagbe (Chorale) is a junior at William Allen High School. This is her second HIGH NOTES Gala production. Outside
of Chorale, Aliya takes part in the Drama Club, SADD, Canaries for Life, SGA, Environmental, and Math Honor Society. She
would like to thank her family for their unconditional support.
Payano, Lourdes Lourdes Payano (Chorale) is in her first year in Chorale. She currently attends VoTech for web design and programming.
She was also the co-captain for the hip-hop dance team at Allen. Lourdes loves doing dance and learning new techniques.
She spends a lot of time and work for FBLA, an organization that she is the president of, and NTHS, the Technical Honor
Society.
Rivera, Jonah Jonah Rivera (Chorale) is a senior at William Allen High School. He has been a part of the Marching Band for three
years. It is his first year as a drum major and a percussion captain. This is also his first year as a part of the William Allen
Chorale. Jonah is excited for his first and last year of the Gala.
Sanchez, David David Sanchez (Twig) is a sophomore at William Allen High School. He was in THE CRUCIBLE and SISTER ACT. David
is also a part of the William Allen football team, Chorale, and Drama Club and he is excited to be a part of Bring It On.
He will love to continue performing because this is something, he is passionate about and wants to keep pursuing. David
wants to thank his family for supporting him through all his shows and Mr. Sechler for letting him be apart of this show.
Santana, Jesus Jesus Santana (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen High School. He has been dancing since 7th grade and
is a part of the William Allen Chorale. This is Jesus’s first year in the Dance Academy and his first year performing at the
HIGH NOTES Gala.
Schafer, Meredith Meredith Schafer (Chorale) is a junior at William Allen High School. This is her third HIGH NOTES Gala production.
Outside of Chorale, Meredith is involved with theater, band, orchestra, choir, and dance. Meredith would like to thank her
family for inspiring her to be actively involved with music programs.
Stulack, Viviana Viviana Stulack (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen. This will be Viviana’s second time performing
at the HIGH NOTES Gala, and she is very excited. Viviana began dancing her freshman year of high school, and she has
continued dancing ever since. Last year, she took part in William Allen’s production of Sister Act. As well as participating
in William Allen’s Studio Dance Academy, she is vice president of the Student Government Association, vice president
of SADD, secretary of the National Honor Society, and a member of Chorale, Student Forum, Mu Alpha Theta, WACC,
and Allen’s choir.
Tomlinson, Marielle Marielle Tomlinson (Chorale) is a sophomore at William Allen High School. This is her fourth time participating in the
HIGH NOTES Gala, three of those times being for winning scholarships through the Allentown School District Foundation.
Marielle is also involved in multiple in-school and after-school activities, including theatre, student government, dance,
choir, Latino Leadership Club, and Canaries for Life. Marielle would like to thank her family for their constant support
and everyone who worked very hard to make this show possible.
Wiggins, Tatyannah Tatyannah Wiggins (Chorale) is a junior at William Allen High School. She has been a part of the field hockey team for
three years. She is in NHS and Odyssey of the Mind. This is also her first year in the William Allen Chorale. Tatyannah is
excited for her second year in the Gala.
Remp, Brandon Brandon Remp (Vocal Director) is a proud ASD product (Allen ’04) and is delighted to teach and direct in the city
he grew up in! Brandon has been involved with the HIGH NOTES Gala since the beginning, most recently as the vocal
director, and has watched it grow and delight people over the years. He would like to thank everyone for their generosity
and contributions to the arts in the ASD, and he hopes you enjoy the show!
LOUIS E. DIERUFF SELECT CHOIR
Almonte, Emilee Emilee Almonte (Choir) is a senior at Louis E. Dieruff High School participating in her fourth gala. Involved in school
musicals and Student Council, she hopes to become a clinical psychiatrist. Emily thanks her friends and family for
“constantly supporting and inspiring me.”
Medrano, Yadhira Yadhira Medrano (Choir) is a junior at Dieruff, and this is her third year involved in the Gala. She plans to continue her
involvement in music and dance. Yadhira would like to thank her best friend Melissa for the motivation she provides her
with every day.
Nicholas, Jadean Jadean Nicholas (Choir) is a senior at Louis E. Dieruff High School participating in his first gala. He plans to serve in the
military and go to college to major in the pre-med field. He would like to thank Dr. Dodd.

Saavedra-Mozo, Yumaira Saavedra-Mozo (Choir) is a senior at Dieruff High School, and this is her first gala. She is involved in AFJ ROTC
Yumaira and the Multicultural Leadership Club, and she wants to major in political science and become a community organizer
to help her community. Yumaira thanks her parents, instructors, and teachers “for being supportive and leading me with
amazing opportunities.”
Santana, Nayelis Nayelis Santana (Choir) is a senior at Dieruff High School taking part in a HIGH NOTES gala for the first time. She is
involved in track, Multicultural Leadership, Art Club, yearbook, choir, and Student Council. Enlisting in the army, Nayelis
thanks her dad for his constant support and care.
Sola, Alejandriana Alejandriano Sola (Choir) is a junior at Louis E. Dieruff High School participating in his first gala. Involved in AFJ ROTC,
sports, and archery, he plans to enlist in either the air force or the marines. He thanks his family for their persistent
motivation and determination.
Tineo, Aileen Aileen Tineo (Choir) is a junior at Louis E. Dieruff High School participating in her second gala. Involved in theatre and Spittin’
Truth, she plans to study music in college. Aileen thanks her family, friends, directors, and teachers.
Ulianna, Ryan Ryan Ullianna (Choir) is a senior at DHS. This will be his sixth appearance at the HIGH NOTES Gala, participating as a
vocalist in 6th and 7th grades and as a member of the pit more recently. Besides singing bass in Dieruff’s choir, Ryan also
excels as a member of the school’s swim team. He plans to join the air force. Ryan thanks his parents, Dr. Dodd, and the
HIGH NOTES staff for all that they have made possible.
Dodd, Ph.D., Jennifer Jennifer Dodd has been a vocal music teacher in the ASD for almost 21 years. This is her ninth year as choir director
at DHS and her seventh year as vocal director for Dieruff’s musical theatre program. Jennifer is extremely proud of
her talented and hard-working students and wants to thank her colleagues for their friendship and dedication to the
program. In addition to teaching at Dieruff, Jennifer is the organist and choir director at St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church
in Coopersburg and a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Research Committee. She would like to
thank her husband and three children for their support of her professional and musical endeavors.
LOUIS E. DIERUFF SPITTIN’ TRUTH
Alvarado, Gilberto Gilberto Alvarado (Spittin’ Truth) is a junior at Louis E. Dieruff High School, and this is his first gala appearance. Soon
to be inducted into the LCCC Honor Society, he is considering work that allows him to give back to Upward Bound and his
family.
Grant, Rayana Rayana Grant (Spittin’ Truth) is a junior at Dieruff High School taking part in the Gala for the first time. She is involved
in the Anime Club and considering art or animation work.
Martinez, Rosa Martina Rosa (Spittin’ Truth) is a junior at Dieruff performing at her first gala. She works on the school yearbook and is
interested in photography and poetry.
Boyd, Luke Luke Boyd teaches English and advises the yearbook at Dieruff High School. He has published a variety of short fiction
and novellas and put out a full-length book of poetry, Paper Cuts, last year. This is his third gala. He plans “to continue the
legacy of poets started by the founding members of Spittin’ Truth in 2017.”
EMCEES FOR THE EVENING
Chakif, Karam Karam Chakif (Emcee) is a senior at Dieruff High School. His parents Abed and Ibtesam Chakif spent 10 years filling out
visa paperwork in order to move with their three sons, Antonyous, Joseph, and Karam, from war-torn Syria to the United
States. They also used that time to teach their children that the road to success and happiness is paved with hard work.
The sons have learned well so far: Antonyous has a biomedical engineering degree from Lehigh, Joseph is at Muhlenberg,
and Karam received early admission to Lehigh. Karam had been determined to bring a District 11 Class 3A wrestling gold
medal to Dieruff for the first time since Jovan Reyes in 2013, and he achieved his goal in late February.
Palacios, Kerine Kerine Palacios (Emcee) is a senior at William Allen High School participating in her first HIGH NOTES Gala as one
of the emcees. A former student at Innovative Arts Academy Charter School and Executive Education Academy Charter
School, Kerine is heavily involved in her community and participates in several extracurricular activities and programs,
including Upward Bound, Canaries for Life, student government, Odyssey of the Mind, Toastmasters International, and the
National Honors Society. After graduation, she hopes to study biology and become either a general surgeon or another
specialized health care worker.
Saed, Fares As a junior attending Dieruff High School, Fares Issa Saed (Emcee) has done just about everything in all extracurricular
activities. He wrestles, serves as class president and as a member of Student Council, is on the debate team and Scholastic
Scrimmage, and he is a member of the National Honor Society. And, he has a vision: Fares wants to attend the University
of Pennsylvania and become a successful business executive. His energy and spirit come from his wonderful home life, and
he’d like to thank his mother, May, and his father, Issa, as well as his brothers, Adeeb and Anthony.
Santana, John Carlos John Carlos Santana (Emcee) is participating in his second HIGH NOTES Gala. He is a junior and has plans to become
either a registered nurse or a politician. His extracurricular activities reflect his interests: ESU Upward Bound, Canaries
for Life, Health Careers Club, Gay Straight Alliance and Empower. He is also a representative to the school board, a varsity
cheerleader, and a member of the National Honors Society. John would like to thank his family and friends for “pushing
me towards greatness.”

Williams, Susan L. Susan L. Williams is executive director of the Allentown School District Foundation. She has had the privilege to
work with the emcees by providing copy and coaching guidance for this gala hosted by Allentown students. A native
of Allentown, Susan has 40+ years of corporate and educational leadership experience in the areas of public relations,
marketing, development and communications.
HARRISON-MORTON PRESENTS FROZEN, JR.
Baez, Princess Princess Baez (Young Anna) is an 8th grade student at Harrison-Morton Middle School taking part in her first gala.
Involved in Latin Dance and theatre, she wants to become an actor or a detective. She wishes to thank her teachers “for
this opportunity and for believing in me.”
Mercer, Jah-Rell Jah-Rell Mercer (Sven) is an 8th grade student at Harrison-Morton Middle School performing in his first gala. Involved in

Gala. She is involved in band and plans to become a UPS cargo pilot. She wishes to thank her teachers.
Vicente, Natalia Natalia Vicente (Anna) is an 8th grade student at Harrison-Morton Middle School taking part in her first
gala. She plans to join the baseball team and wishes to thank her family, directors, and friends in theatre.
Williams, Jacob Jacob Williams is a 7th grade student at Harrison-Morton Middle School performing in his first HIGH NOTES Gala. He
plays baseball and serves on student government, and he hopes to one day become president. Jacob wishes to thank his
family theatre friends, and girlfriend.
Campbell, Stephanie Stephanie Campbell (Co-Director HMMS/SMMS) is a teacher at Harrison-Morton Middle School, and she has helped with
several HIGH NOTES Gala performances. She would like to thank co-pilot Autumn Deck, tech genius Matt Fridirici, and the
amazing Frozen, Jr., students and their families.
Schlossberg, Brenna Brenna Schlossberg (Gala Production Manager) is in her 15th year as an ASD English teacher, and this is her fifth year
involved with the HIGH NOTES Gala. Her musical and theatrical experiences began during her time as an ASD student.
She then participated in several shows at Cedar Crest College while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She holds a
Master’s Degree in both English (University of Rochester) and Education (Cedar Crest College).

Castillo, Azelia Azelia Castillo (Bulda) is an 8 grade student at South Mountain Middle School.  This is the second gala she will be

participating in. She is involved in Band, Jazz Band, and National Junior Honor Society. Azelia plans to become a doctor
and continue to be active in theatre, and she thanks her family, “who has encouraged me to do my best.
Melendez, Mayrali Mayrali Melendez (Young Elsa) is a 7th grade student at South Mountain Middle School performing in her first gala. After
high school, she plans to become a space scientist, and she wishes to thank her parents and her siblings.
Melo, Miah Miah Melo (Elsa) is an 8th grader at South Mountain Middle School, and this year marks her first time participating
in HIGH NOTES. She is involved in Art Club, Poetry Club, Band, and Choir. Miah hopes to continue to develop her
performance skills, and she thanks her family, teachers, and friends for their support.
Moussa, Diana Diana Moussa (Weselton) is an 8th grade student at South Mountain Middle School. This is the second gala she will be
participating in. She plans to find success and pursue a career as a technician. She would like to thank her parents, her
friends, and her directors.
Serrano, Davian Davian Serrano (Hans) is an 8th grade student at South Mountain Middle School taking part in his first HIGH NOTES
Gala. He is a member of the Junior Honor Society, and he plans to become a doctor. He wishes to thank his parents.
Deck, Autumn Autumn Deck (Co-Director HMMS/SMMS) is a teacher at South Mountain Middle School in her first year being involved
with HIGH NOTES. She would like to thank director Stephanie Campbell, tech director Mathew Fridirici, and all the
talented and devoted student participants that make Frozen, Jr., and the Gala possible.
DIERUFF HIGH PRESENTS CABARET
Beanum, Lance Lance Isaiah Beanum (Emcee) is a senior at Louis E. Dieruff High School participating in his third HIGH NOTES Gala.
After high school, Lance plans to study music and vocal performance. He thanks his mom for all her support.
Castillo, Rosa Rosa Castillo (Ensemble) is a freshman at Louis E. Dieruff High School in her first HIGH NOTES Gala. Rosa plans to
further focus on her education after high school by studying psychology. She thanks her fellow cast members “for giving
me potential and encouraging me to put my best foot forward.”
Cruz, Sierra Sierra Cruz (Sally Bowles) is a sophomore at Louis E. Dieruff High School performing in her fourth HIGH NOTES Gala.
She dances and works when she is not in school or performing. Sierra hopes to pursue a professional career dancing and
singing with her friends. She thanks her family and friends for their constant support.

Elleby, Isaiah Isaiah Elleby is a junior at DHS. This is Isaiah’s second High Notes appearance, but his first as part of the musical pro-
gram. When he is not busy dancing, singing, and acting the role of Victor in Dieruff’s musical, Cabaret, he loves cooking.
Isaiah would like to pursue acting as a career. He’s happy to be part of gala and grateful for all the opportunities his
directors have given him.
Jimenez, Franzhezzka Franzhezzka Jimenez (Lulu) is a sophomore at Louis E. Dieruff High School taking part in her second HIGH NOTES Gala.
She plays basketball and dances. Franzhezzka hopes to have a successful career forming a music group with her friends.
She thanks her family, friends, and teachers for their support and encouragement.

school, she plans to major in forensics. Jenny thanks her mom, siblings, and friends for supporting her.
Pearyer, Trinitee Trinitee Pearyer (Fritzie) is a junior at Dieruff, and this is her third appearance on the Gala stage. She is both thrilled
and honored to be a part of this event and plans to join a performing company after high school. Trinitee wishes to thank
her friends and family, especially her father, for supporting her.
Ramos, Paige Paige Ramos (Helga) is a junior at Louis E. Dieruff High School, and this year is her first performing in the Fala. She plays
softball and is involved with community theatre at Civic Theatre, performing in A Christmas Carol. Paige plans to get an
acting degree in college and thanks her mother for her help and support.
Torres, Jaime Jaime Torres (Cliff Bradshaw) is a junior at Dieruff High School, and this marks his fifth Gala performance. He is a
member of Scholastic Scrimmage and School Council. His future plans include entering the military or studying at Penn
State. He would like to thank his family and friends for all of their support.
Conti, Nicholas Nicholas Conti (Assistant Director/Pit Director) has extensive experience in acting, pit conducting, music directing,
and directing in the Lehigh Valley. He works as the pit conductor and assistant director for Dieruff High School Theatre
Company, music director at Civic Theatre of Allentown, and is a member of the brass faculty at Community Music School
of the Lehigh Valley and Berks. Nick has directed and/or conducted Assassins, Seussical the Musical, Sweeney Todd:
The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, The Addams Family Musical and Chicago: A Musical Vaudeville. Civic Theatre credits
include Billy Elliot, Fun Home, Sunset Boulevard and Spamalot. Dieruff High School Theatre Company credits include
Jesus Christ Superstar, Side Show, Once On This Island, and Cabaret.
Schubert, Joanellyn Joanellyn “Joey” Schubert is the proud choreographer of the Dieruff High School Theatre Company. She also serves as
the Assistant Principal at Reading High School’s Red Knight Accelerated Academy at Thomas Ford and choreographs for
shows at Cedar Crest College, Pennsylvania Playhouse and Freedom High School, to name a few. Outside of rehearsal and
work, Joey can be found spending time with the loves of her life, her daughters, Mackenzie and Jordyne.
Pastelyak, Sarah Sarah Pastelyak is a proud product of the ASD having attended Ritter, HMMS, and Dieruff High School. She received her
B.A. in English Education and M.Ed. in Special Education from DeSales University. Sarah has taught at Dieruff for the past
14 years, 12 of which she has served as the school’s theatre director. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her
husband and their five-year old twins, Aria and Isaac. She wishes to extend her deepest thanks to the ASD, ASDF, and all of
the fine community supporters of tonight’s event.
WILLIAM ALLEN DANCE ACADEMY
Atiyeh, Emily Emily Atiyeh (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen High School. This is her second year in Dance Academy
and her second time dancing for HIGH NOTES Gala. At school, Emily keeps herself involved by being a part of the theatre
productions. Emily has been in The Wizard of Oz (Munchkin), Aida (Palace Girl), and Sister Act (Fantasy Dancer), and she
is currently taking on the role of Kylar in Bring It On the Musical. Emily looks forward to participating in the HIGH NOTES
Gala for her final year in high school.
Conner, Aaliyah Aaliyah Connor (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at WAHS. She has been dancing since 5th grade. This will be
Aaliyah’s second year participating in the HIGH NOTES Gala. Aaliyah has been dancing at Allen since her freshman year,
and she is one of the captains of the Studio Dance Academy. Dancing is very important to Aaliyah. She hopes to continue
pursuing dance after high school and one day hopes to teach others to dance. Aaliyah cheered for two years and now is
looking forward to attending college in the fall.

James, Venrick Venrick James (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen High school. Venrick has been dancing since his
freshman year at William Allen, and it is what he loves to do most. Along with dancing, Venrick played volleyball his 9th
and 10th grade years, ran indoor track his 10th and 11th grade years, and also did outdoor track his junior year. Venrick
was a part of the school musical Sister Act as an ensemble member his junior year and is currently a featured dancer in
this year’s musical production of Bring It On. He is also a member of multiple clubs, including SADD, SGA, Canaries for
Life, and the National Honor Society, and he is president of Mu Alpha Theta. Venrick is excited to be a part of the HIGH
NOTES Gala for his second year.

Martinez, Juneika Juneika Martinez (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen High School. This is her first year dancing for
Dance Academy and her first year performing at the HIGH NOTES Gala. Not only is she involved in Dance Academy, she is
captain of the K-Pop Dance Club. She is extremely excited to perform at the HIGH NOTES Gala.
Melton, Ziah Ziah Melton (WAHS Dance Academy), age 17, is a senior at WAHS. She has danced at Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy
for 11 years and at Allen for three years. She has performed in multiple performances of Repertory Dance Theater’s The
Nutcracker. Ziah is the Class of 2020 treasurer and the treasurer of Student Government.
Reed, Miashia Miashia Reed (WAHS Dance Academy) is a junior in high school, 16 years old. She’s been dancing for seven years. She
is in dance academy and performed in last year’s show. Miashia participated in all her dance shows at Arts Academy
Charter Middle School. She is also a varsity cheerleader.

Shoemaker, Lindsay Lindsay Shoemaker (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen High School. This is her first year performing
for the Dance Academy and her second year performing in the HIGH NOTES Gala. Lindsay is a student athlete that plays

Torres, Errisangely Errisangely Torres (WAHS Dance Academy) is a senior at William Allen high School. This is her first year dancing
with the Dance Academy. Erris started dancing the age of seven but stopped in 8th grade and started dancing again her
sophomore year. Erris is very excited to perform in this year’s HIGH NOTES Gala.
Blanco, Dawn Dawn Blanco is the director of the Studio Dance Academy and a dance teacher at William Allen High School. She has
over 15 years teaching experience and has choreographed for nationally competitive dance ensembles, soloists, and high
school dance teams. She is a 2012, 2016, 2018, and 2019 Freddy Awards nominee for outstanding choreography for high
school productions of Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Aida and Sister Act. This is Blanco’s fourth year choreographing for
the HIGH NOTES Gala!
RAUB MIDDLE SCHOOL PRESENTS ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, JR.
Coleman, Jordan Jordan Coleman (Agwe) is an 8th grade student at Raub Middle School, and this marks his first HIGH NOTES
performance. Jordan is involved in basketball and choir.
Gonzalez, Serenity Serenity Gonzalez (Andrea) is a 6th grade student in his first HIGH NOTES Gala. A part of Latin Dance, Crafts Club, and
21st Century, she wants to study dance, singing, acting, and art in college. Serenity thanks her parents and her teachers
Mr. Montagnese and Mrs. Corbett.
Hicks, Keanu Keanu Hicks (Lead Tonton Julian) is an 8th grade student at Raub Middle School taking part in his first gala. He is
involved in football and choir, and he hopes to one day act in a Disney movie. He wishes to thank his family.
Jacquez, Alfonso Alfonso Jacquez (Papa Ge) is an 8th grader at Raub. This is his third gala. In addition to theater, Alfonso participates in
volleyball, choir, and El Sistema. He wants to help others in his future career while continuing to sing. Alfonso would like
to thank directors Miss Montagnese, Miss Corbett, and Ms. Golden, as well as his family and friends.
Montagnese, Cara Cara Montagnese (Co-Director Trexler/Raub) has been a music teacher and serves as choir director at both Trexler
and Raub Middle Schools. Her primary duties as co-director include stage direction, choreography, and vocals, as part
of a collaborative production with Trexler and Raub students. Ms. Montagnese is a graduate of Moravian College, with a
degree in Music Education with classical and jazz vocal concentrations. She performed in various musicals, choirs, vocal
jazz groups, and combos during high school and college. Ms. Montagnese is currently working professionally in the Lehigh
Valley as a singer with the Peter Johann Band. She enjoys working with the many talented performers in the ASD.
TREXLER MIDDLE SCHOOL PRESENTS ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, JR.
Adames, Leila Leila Adames (Asaka) is an 8th grade student at Trexler Middle School taking part in her first HIGH NOTES Gala. She
participates in Choir, National History Day, PJAS, and the Science Fair, and she hopes to continue her involvement in
theatre. Leila would like to thank her friends, directors, and teachers.

Camara, Mahima Mahima Camara (TiMoune-Mom) is an 8th grade student at Trexler Middle School performing in her first gala. She is
involved in volleyball, cross country, twist, track, step. She plans to study to be an actor, veterinarian, or doctor. Mahima

Fabio, Taoly Taoly Fabio (Erzulie) is an 8th grade student participating in her first gala. She is involved in volleyball, choir, and step,
and she plans to continue participating in theatre and choir and study to become a doctor. She thanks God, her mother,
and her directors.
Hamilton Ruiz, Nikayla Hamilton Ruiz (Ti-Moune) is an 8th grade student at Trexler Middle School participating in her second gala.
Nikayla A participant in choir and cheerleading, she plans to go to college and major in theatre. Nikayla wishes to thank her
parents, siblings, and teacher.
Lamarra, Kiara Kiara Mia Larrama (Little Ti Moune) is a 6th grade student at Trexler Middle School participating in her first gala. She
is involved in Choir and Girl Scouts, and she plays the violin and the piano. After high school, Kiara plans to attend college.

Rivera, Joshua Joshua Rivera (Daniel) is an 8th grade student at Trexler Middle School who is taking part in his first gala. He hopes to
eventually go on Broadway and wishes to thank his parents and Ms. Montagnese.
Corbett, Leslie Leslie Corbett (Co-Director Trexler/Raub) has been a special education teacher in the ASD for nearly 30 years. In
addition, she is a certified reading specialist. With a background in technical theater and singing, Miss Corbett began
working with the Trexler Theater Club in 1999 as the technical director. Her primary duties include set design and
construction and supervision of stage crew, in addition to production responsibilities, as part of a directorial ensemble
and theatrical collaboration of Trexler and Raub Middle School students. Miss Corbett thoroughly enjoys her role as
director and is so excited about this year’s production. She looks forward to working with all the talented students and
staff of the Allentown School District during this year’s Gala.
WILLIAM ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS BRING IT ON
Clay, Ceijay Ceijay Clay (Randall) is a junior at William Allen High School. He is very excited to be cast in Bring It On. When Ceijay
isn’t acting, he likes trying to better himself. This is his second time doing a show at WAHS and being a lead. He loves to be
involved in WAHS’s musicals. Ceijay has always loved being involved with anything dealing with music, so he is very happy
that his audition went well, and he will give his all to his lead role in the musical. He wants everyone to know that this is a
very big deal, and he is very grateful and proud to be able to say that he’s associated with the WAHS Theatre Department.
Ceijay would like to thank the directors, his fellow actors, crew and pit, and everyone else who helped make this show
possible. Ceijay truly hopes you guys enjoy! :)
De La Cruz, Laisa Laisa De La Cruz (Jackson) is a freshman at William Allen HS. This is her first musical, and she’s very excited to be a part
of the show. She loves the music and the moves, and she feels that she must be involved in the musicals for the rest of her
high school career. Laisa is involved in some after-school activities like stage crew, SGA, and cheerleading. She can’t wait
to show her directors and her friends how hard she worked to make this a wonderful and fun experience. She also wants
to thank Mr. Sechler and Ms. Blanco for welcoming her into the show and being understanding. Laisa hopes everybody
enjoys the show.
McArthur, Philicia Philicia McArthur (Jackson) is a senior at William Allen High School, Philicia is a varsity cheerleader and a part of the
William Allen High School Construction Company. This will be her fourth show at William Allen, including Aida (Nubian),
Sister Act (Nunsemble), and Antigone Now (Ismene). She has also been in three prior shows at Raub Middle School.
Philicia is grateful to be able to live out her lifelong dream of taking on the stage, and she sends out a huge thank-you to
Mr. Adams, Mr. Sechler, and her parents.
Morse Chopin, Toussaint Morse Chopin (Cameron) is a freshman at William Allen High School. This is Toussaint’s first musical. He is a
Toussaint varsity cheerleader here at William Allen High School. Toussaint is so thankful for having this part because this musical is
so much fun and he really loves being Cameron. Toussaint is learning so much from being a part of this amazing musical
journey!
Stokes, Africa Africa Stokes (Jackson) is a junior at WAHS, Africa is almost the shyest person ever. She loves music and art in various
ways. She’s excited when in the right environment and is very excited that she made new friends in this journey of being in
a musical for the first time. She hopes you all enjoy the show and cheer with your hearts’ content.
Watkins, Arianna Arianna Watkins (Jackson) is a junior at William Allen High School. Bring It On will be the first theatre production she is
participating in. Arianna has been involved in cheerleading and field hockey throughout her years at Allen. She is excited
to be participating in this show and trying something new with such an amazing group of people.
Yambo, Yangel Yangel Yambo (Jackson) is a senior at WAHS. He has always been involved in school sports such as cheerleading,
dance, volleyball, swimming, and diving. He is currently a dance concepts student at Allen. He was involved in the 2018
WAHS musical Aida (Ensemble) and 2019’s Sister Act (Ensemble). He has been dancing hip-hop since he was 10, and he
developed an interest in dance technique when he started high school. He’d like to thank Ms. Blanco and Mr. Sechler for
all the opportunities!

Sechler, John John T. Sechler (Director, WAHS) is a graduate of Kutztown University, and he holds a B.S. degree in Elementary
Education and Secondary English. He has his Master’s Degree in Science: Technology for the Classroom through Wilkes
University. This is his 23rd year in the Allentown School District and his 15th teaching in the Allen Art Academy Theatre
Department.  He is a graduate of PCPA’s Performing Arts High School in Philadelphia. He spent many years after high
school performing in various venues, including community theatre, summer stock, dinner theatre, films, and commercials.
He is very excited to add Bring It On to his list of WAHS musicals. He would like to thank the cast and crew for being so
hard-working and enthusiastic.

Badillo, Brian Brian Badillo (Sound Technician) is a sophomore at Allen. He is involved in Canaries for Life, HCC, theatre, and soccer.
Brian hopes to become a pediatrician after high school, and he would like to thank the stage crew director and the Allen
director. This is his first ASDF Gala.
Edinger, Meghan Meghan is a freshman at William Allen. This is her third appearance at the High Notes Gala. She loves theater and is
thankful for Mr. Hissam for this opportunity to help. She’s excited to be involved and hopes to continue to be involved. She
wants to make sure you come see Bring It On, it’s an amazing show! Meghan wants to thank everyone for giving her this
opportunity and hopes you enjoy the show.
Hertzog, Kerigrace Kerigrace Hertzog (Stage Manager) is a sophomore at Allen. This is her third gala. She hopes to study engineering or
chemistry and wishes to thank her parents.
Lewis, Tashona Tashona Lewis (Stage Crew) is a junior at Dieruff. She is thrilled to be back for another wonderful Gala, this being
her third! Tashona is involved in the Class of 2021 and the multicultural student group, and she plans to become an
elementary school teacher. She wishes to thank her family, her best friend, and her school.
Moretz, Jacob Jacob Moretz (Projectionist) is a sophomore at William Allen High School taking part in his second gala. He plans to
attend college after high school and wishes to thank his teachers and fellow stage crew members.
Perez, Jenilsa Jenilsa Perez (Stage Crew) is a senior at Dieruff. This is her first gala. She is involved with the Spanish Honor Society and
the Multicultural Leadership Club, and she would like to become an early childhood teacher. She would like to thank her
parents and her siblings.
Ramirez, Gabriela Gabriela Ramirez (Sound Engineer) is a sophomore at William Allen High School helping out with her fourth HIGH
NOTES Gala. A member of the marching band, she plans to study sound engineering. Gabriela wishes to thank her

Rivera, Logan Logan Rivera (Stage Crew) is a senior at Louis E. Dieruff High School participating in their first gala. Involved with both
the musical and the fall drama, Logan plans to go to Lincoln Tech to study computers and networking. Logan thanks the
gala staff, Dr. Dodd, and Mrs. Pastelyak.
Rivera-Torres, William Rivera-Torres (Stage Crew) is a senior at Dieruff High School and a member of stage for Once On This Island.
William A member of NHS and Scholastic Scrimmage, William hopes to go to Lehigh to become an electrical engineer. This is
William’s second Gala, and he would like to thank his parents, friends, and family for all their support.
Hissam, Marc Marc Hissam (Technical Director) has been involved in the technical end of theatre for nearly 50 years. A past part-time
professional stagehand, he holds multiple degrees in psychology and education and has been teaching in Allentown for
over 20 years. He has been the technical director at William Allen High School for the past ten years, and he has been
involved with the ASDF Gala since its beginning. Marc was the designer of the 2017 Freddy Award recipient for Best Use
of Scenery for Allen’s production of Bonnie & Clyde. He wishes to thank the students and staff of the ASDF Gala and Miller
Symphony Hall.
