Dear Church Family,

As you are certainly aware by now, our nation is taking unprecedented action to help prevent and
or slow the spread of the Coronavirus. This is truly an historic time in our nation’s history.

Beginning today, all regularly-scheduled worship services and activities are suspended until
further notice. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know when we may be able to assemble again.
In fact, the CDC is now recommending that all public gatherings of 50 or more people be
suspended for the next eight weeks. I pray that our separation will be much shorter and I ask that
you join me in praying likewise.

In the meantime, our focus will shift from weekly programs to meeting the needs of our church
family during this unprecedented event. To that end, we are creating a special Care Team to
assist the needs of those who may be considered at high risk for medical complications related to
the Coronavirus, or for anyone who may need assistance at this time. The Care Team will run
important errands to the grocery store; the pharmacy; the post office, etc., etc.; or provide any
assistance necessary to help meet the needs of our church family, or someone you may know of
outside of our community of faith. As always, we want to be the hands and feet of Jesus and
demonstrate his great love for all people through our acts of service.

If you or someone you know could make use of such assistance, please contact me via email or
by phone, or contact the church office, and we will provide you with a list of volunteers and their
contact information. For those who would like to volunteer, please likewise contact me via email
or phone.

Though the doors to the church edifice are temporarily closed, the work of the Gospel will
continue in some shape or form. To that end, I urge you to continue your regular support of our
church through your tithes and offerings. You may send us a check through the mail or make use
of our online giving option via the church website (www.msbc.cc). To give online, click the tab
at the top of the website titled “Online Giving.” Giving via the website is easy and secure.

Please look for future updates on the church website, the church Facebook page, and in your
email. In fact, in an effort to update our email contacts, please email me at waltero@msbc.cc. If
you do not have an option to receive updates electronically, please call the office to let us know
how we can communicate with you most efficiently.
Finally, I’d like to ask you to join me in praying for God’s protection and provision for our
church and our church family during this time. Remember, the God we serve is the God who
came to us “healing every disease and every affliction” (Mark 9:35). He is also the God who is
“able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work
within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever
and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).
