1. Dior in France:

Dior was founded in France in 1945.  Dior has several locations in France, but the original Dior is located
in established on 16 December 1946, in "a private house"  located in Paris.

2. Dior in the USA:
After realizing that Apparel manufacture is the fifth largest American industry and the largest in
the state and city of New York (main production center).
In late 1949, they began to expand their market in the
US through the opening of a Christian Dior Store in
New York City.
The USA has the longest history of ready to wear
clothing production in the world.  Americans consume
more than $7.5 billion worth of wearing apparel every
year. This claims about twelve percent of income in an
average American family.
Here in the USA Dior has become one of many popular "Name-Brand" products Americans
continue to purchase.
3. Dior in Australia:
In 1949, Douglas Cox from Melbourne, Australia, travelled to Paris to meet with Christian Dior
to discuss the possibility of having Dior pieces made for the Australian market.

On the other hand:


In 1950, Jacques Rouët, general manager of Dior Ltd, devised a licensing program on a variety
of luxury goods. First on the tie and soon it was applied to knitwear, furs, hats, gloves, bags,
jewelry...
In 1951, Dior released his first book, Je Suis Couturier (I am a Couturier) through the Editions
du Conquistador publisher. Christian Dior Model Limited was created in London in 1952. The
first Dior shoe was launched in 1953 with the support of Roger Vivier.
The company operated well-established locations in Mexico, Cuba, Canada and Italy by the
end of 1953.
Today, we can see
stores all over the
world including
Vietnam. It represents
expensive, luxury items
and to get it you
definitely have to have
a pretty big source of
money.

2. DEATH OF
DIOR:
In 1957, designer Christian Dior died of a heart attack. His departure caused internal turmoil and
turmoil. Dior brand CEO Jacques Rouët has to consider closing all brand branches in the world,
but due to the fierce opposition of the French fans. Finally, assistant Yves Saint Laurent (YSL)
was promoted to the position of Creative Director.
