GENERAL RULES FOR ADMISSION – POST GRADUATE


1. The detailed information of the admission procedure will be displayed on the College
website. Candidates are advised to check for updates regularly on the College website.
2. After declaration of the merit list, a copy of the list will be displayed on the College
website. The candidate himself/herself will find his/her merit number from the merit
list. The merit list will not be published in the newspaper.
3. All fees deposited at the time of registration/admission will not be refunded under
any circumstances.
4. The College reserves the right to change or amend the admission rules at any time
without prior notification.
5. If any candidate gets admission on the basis of false information/improper means or
on the basis of false marksheet his/her admission will be treated cancelled from the
beginning and legal action will be taken against him/her under IPC.
6. If the candidate is entitled to weightages (if any), it will be shown in the merit.
7. The reservation shall be given as permissible under the Uttar Pradesh Government /
University Rules.
8. College reserves the right to cancel any admission at any stage.
9. During counselling, subjects are allotted on the basis of rank of candidates who have
reported for counselling within the stipulated time and availability at that moment.
No change of subject would be allowed later. Candidates reporting late will have no
claim if seats of higher choice are filled up. They would be offered choices of subjects
available at that point of time.
10. All the legal matters pertaining to the admission shall be subject to Lucknow
Judicature only.
11. As directed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, action will be taken against the students
who indulge in incidence like ragging during studentship.
12. Those candidates who have been expelled from any University/College/Institution or
found guilty under Indian Penal Code are not eligible to apply for any course.
Rules for Post Graduate Admission
1. Selection is on MERIT basis
2. A candidate will be eligible for Admission to Postgraduate Courses if he/she has
completed Qualifying Exam/B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with 10+2+3 system from any University
recognized by University Grants Commission and has secured a minimum 45% of marks
at graduate level. However, for SC/ST candidates minimum pass percentage of marks
will be 40%.
(Gen/OBC – 45% and SC/ST – 40%)
3. A candidate's choice of the subject in M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. shall be restricted to one of
the subjects taken in the part-III examination for the Bachelor's Degree.
4. For Faculty of Arts:
• In case the candidate seeks admission in the subject, which he/she has studied in the
all three years of graduation the eligibility will be minimum 45% of marks.
• In case the candidate seeks admission in the subject, which he/she has studied in the
first two years of graduation but not in the final year, the eligibility will be minimum
55% of marks.
• In case the candidate seeks admission in the subject which he/she has not studied in
any year of graduation, eligibility will be minimum 60% of marks.
• If case the eligibility in the subject is “Any Graduate” the candidate has to obtain
minimum 50% of marks in graduation. This applies to subjects which are not available
in University of Lucknow at graduation level.
5. A candidate cannot pursue two Postgraduate degree courses simultaneously. A
candidate who has already completed Postgraduate course in one subject will not be
eligible for the second Postgraduate course except professional course.
6. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in 2018 can apply for
admission but they should fulfill all eligibility conditions on the day of admission.
7. In case of students seeking admission to the Faculty of Law, he/she shall not be allowed
to simultaneously register for a Law degree program with any other graduate or post
graduate degree/diploma or even a certificate course run by any University or an
Institute for academic or professional learning.
8. Gap Certificate: If there is gap in taking admission after qualifying exam
(Intermediate/Graduation), then an affidavit certified by the Notary on Rs. 10.00 Stamp
paper has to be submitted at the time of admission.

At the time of admission student has to submit the documents for


verification:
1. Application cum Registration Form (02 copies)
2. Bank receipt/challan of course fee deposition (Original)
3. Highschool and Intermediate Marksheet and certificate (Original & Xerox Copy)
4. Graduation 1+2+3 Year Marksheet (Original & Xerox Copy)
5. Character Certificate (Original)
