It is my great desire to thanks to god in giving me the strength and courage me to press on, keeping me
through the late night and finding that determination with in me through this exercise.

Let me just thank my group members that have been a constant support and encouraging me. I will like
to thank my teacher Miss Allen, for giving a basic outline in what is to be done finally, I give thanks to my
family for supporting me and keeping up with me making me have access of the the internet.

 Introduction

Domestic violence is any behavior the purpose of which is to gain power and control over a
spouse, partner, girlfriend/boyfriend or intimate family members. Abuse is a learned behavior; it
is not cause by anger, mental problems , drugs or alcohol, or other common excuses.
Domestic violence is any form of multievent that takes place in a heterosexual or homosexual
romantic relationship between adults intimate partner abuse is a major public health problem
2million women than men and resulting in homelessness, injure, or death of victims, billion of
dollars in heath care costs, and lost of victim, billion of dollars in health care cost and lot work
productivity.
The search for possible solution and tools to fight domestic violence always ends up with
searching for the cause of this negative phenomenon.
 Plan of investigation
The subtopic of domestic violence is a major issue in many countries that is why I am choosing
this topic “Way in which domestic violence can be solved” many people have been abused and
molested in that case they don’t want to say anything about it because they have been
brainwashed by them with the lies
As a student of English I expect to improve in my writing and reading comprehension skill
by researching, the way I intended to collect information is by reading through some recent
articles online and local newspaper I will use the information to write reflection and written
report.

Reflection 1
my newspaper article as enlightened me to understand the issue of domestic violence and that
there is a way of solving or address it is not case for women to just leave them for they have been
brain washed them in thinking that they lover them and there is no way that they can find help
but in the Sunday gleaner the writer report on the prime minister Andrew Holiness is buttress
existing of domestic violence and putting the spot light on a place of police initiatives as the
domestic violence introversion centers where they can be cold off angry spouse
my second article which is a video I have download from YouTube has shows me that
domestic violence as been recognized and is analyzed by the government making the victims of
domestic violence feel that there is hope what I have understand from this video is that domestic
violence haven’t not been recognized by the government for very long time until know where the
government as seen the increase of death rate because of domestic violence and the government
took it up and try and make a facility for them to live in
my last piece of article which is a audio makes me understand that there is someone out there can
help you and telling that person that it’s their time to leave the pass behind and move on with
your life.

Reflection 2
The language used in my newspaper article is formal language register the use of language was
understandable in the newspaper article, there were words and expression use that shows a
negative tough of domestic violence to women. The language of the newspaper was simple and
clear with instance of express that include the attitude shows that the person is both negative and
positive toward the domestic violence’s writer used predominately standard English.
The video article there where egger to solve the domestic violence and to make the government
recognized it, they speaks in the video make it clear for me to understand .There where tone of
happiness used in the audio the women seem relief of the domestic violence she and her children
came out of and was recognized by one of the members of parliament and it was addressed.
my audio use a formal registered language and is contrast that is easily understand this song
target audient about domestic violence and the story of a women being abuse and going back in
to the relation ship ever time saying that he will change. the tone of the song give the victims
strength and hope toward there life so that they can leave and never come back and she wont be
criticized about it nor her children
