Paul Marshall and his super rich hedge fund friends in ARK are not a disinterested group of charitable do gooders as they
claim. As revealed in the Daily Telegraph, “You would have thought hedge fund boys and girls were all Tories. Some of
them, like Stanley Fink, the Chief executive of Man Group (the biggest hedge fund group)” – and ARK trustee –
“certainly are. But so far they have been reluctant to get involved with the Tories and are instead concentrating on the
LibDems”.
“Marshal is one of the handful of LibDems modernisers trying to convert the party into something more than a middle
class protest group”. Some of their ideas are “fairer not higher taxes, partial privatisation of the Royal Mail and replacing
the National Health Service with a system of social insurance”.

the nineteenth-century philanthropist, he
does not have to pay the cost of the thing he
is ‘giving’ - or even a substantial contribu-
tion to the cost”

south of the borough, one of the sites we proposed (the Stonebridge school site)
is now being proposed. No doubt their discrimination against the south, and our
pointing it out, not only to them but to the CRE, has now become embarrassing.
