 “Police, a commendable job”

Regards:
Currently, I work in the National Police, my duties are to serve the
community, protect people's assets, ensure compliance with the duties
of citizens and protect and enforce their rights.
My workplace as a police officer has a large office, with plenty of light,
with several filing cabinets in which the cases and regulations to be
followed are organized; two large tables to make plans of strategies and
a blackboard to expose different themes or contingencies to develop.
The outskirts have gardens and large parking lots, all delimited by bars.
In addition, there are more offices for different citizen services. Despite
this being the basis of my workplace, one could say that they are all
those places in the city where they require the service of a police officer;
either to provide an emergency service that provides safety on public
roads, as well as in emergencies, disasters and search and rescue
situations. Normally, in order to coordinate all these operations, fire and
emergency medical services are requested. Helping the community is
very rewarding for me, it makes me feel fulfilled as a person.
The Colombian National Police has a great responsibility to protect
citizens, so that they feel safe and calm that no one wants to affect their
integrity; The most important thing is to want to do things with my
heart, totally grateful to my police, and I have learned a lot from my
job, my institution and I am proud to be a police officer.
In the development of the functions as Police, I found strengths such as
leadership in the commitment to improve the responses to violence,
permanent training, the police are a brave, determined, honest and
courageous person. As weaknesses in daily duty, family instability
sometimes occurs due to job rotations in different cities according to the
need of the institution.
If I could do another job, I would not deviate from my police duty, but I
would complement it with psychology, since with this academic training
I would strengthen my police duty, my citizen participation and my
family role.
