We are taking several precautions to stay healthy in
our classroom. Please encourage your second grader
to wash their hands frequently throughout the day. We
have hand sanitizer available in the classroom, as well
as a sink with soap and water. Please keep your child
home if they are experiencing a bad cough, fever or
other symptoms that can be contagious.

Spring Break
March 23rd - 27th THIS WEEK’S HIGHLIGHTS
In math, we are finishing up our unit on measurement.
REMINDERS We will move into graphing the next few weeks. The
students will be working on various forms of data

writing. We are practicing the idea of paragraph
writing to organize our ideas. We will continue to work
on informational and paragraph writing the next few
weeks.
In reading, we are working on note taking strategies to
strengthen our writing with informational texts.

In science, we worked in small groups to construct a

house for the three little pigs. This project concludes
our unit on matter.
