I.OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson 85% of the students should be able to;
a. describe the features of each of the five layers;
b. explain the basis for the division of the layers of the atmosphere using the
graph; and
c. appreciate the importance of the Earth’s atmosphere.

b. References: Science Learner’s Material Module 2 pg. 309-314
c. Materials: Laptop, Powerpoint Presentation, printed pictures, Chalk and Board

(The students will arrange the rumble pictures and let them guess what
are the pictures all about.)
IV. PROCEDURE
A. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
The students will group into five.
Each group will be given different pictures and words
Those words and picture will be paste according on what
layers of atmosphere.
The first group who can get the correct answer will receive
additional 5 points in his/her quiz.
2. Analysis
Which layer of the atmosphere contains the ozone?
In which layer do virtually all weather phenomena takes
place?
Why is the ozone layer important for the survival of living
things on Earth?
3. Abstraction
Atmosphere – the blanket of air/envelop of gases that surrounds
the Earth.
