RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
2. Take only memories, leave only footprints.
3. Stay on the campus premises during the program and events.
4. Vandalism of any kind is prohibited in the campus, campus equipment or natural
surroundings.
5. Tobacco, E-cigarettes, guns, knives, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and pornographic
materials are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
6. Participants should sleep in their assigned rooms.
7. No loud noise or rough housing.
8. All participants are expected to participate and be on time during programs and events.
9. No loitering inside the campus after curfew.
10. Participants must be in their designation room before 9:00PM.
11. Anyone caught not following the rules and regulations will be penalized

NOTE:

 Iloilo Science and Technology has a curfew of 9:00PM. All are expected to be inside
ISAT U premises before the curfew.

MECHANICS FOR SPORTS
AND OTHERS
Objective

To promote unity, good camaraderie, and sportsmanship among the Mechanical Engineering
Students of different schools here in Panay.

General Rules and Regulations

I. ELIGIBILITY
1. All participating players must be Mechanical Engineering students who are currently
enrolled in the 2nd Semester of S.Y. 2019-2020.
2. Import of player/s from other schools is not allowed.
3. Varsity players are allowed to participate.

II. UNIFORMS
1. No Team/Player shall be allowed to play without wearing the proper uniform.

III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES


1. Both coaches/players of the participating schools should know the rules and
regulations of the game and must see to it that they are in total control of their players
2. Only the coaches or team captain/representative of the playing team are allowed to
stand and make necessary verifications/complaints during the program of the game.

IV. TEAM DISCIPLINE AND CONDUCT OF PLAYERS


1. Any player, coach or manager who commits any of the enumerated acts of violence
or UNSPORTSMANLIKE conduct shall be penalized with a suspension in the game
depending upon the gravity of the violation/situation.
2. Players who are under the influence of liquor or any prohibited drugs are not allowed
to play and will be automatically banned from the league.
3. A player/coach disqualified or send out of the game shall be automatically suspended
for his next game. Repeating this offense shall be automatically disqualified from
further participation in the event.
4. In a case of fight, every player involved will be automatically banned from the game.
A fight means someone who has thrown a punch or kick to an opponent or other
physical contacts that are not related to the game. The officials and the technical
committees still have the final decision.
5. Player/s caught giving an obscene sign such as a dirty finger or heard saying bad
words to any official/s, technical committee/s, or to an opponent, that player/s will be
thrown out of the game on the second offense and will be suspended for his next
game.

V. SCORING SYSTEM
1. Each sports event consists of points: 3 points will be given for the champion, 2 points
for the 1st runner-up, 1 point for the 2nd runner up, and 0 points for non-placer.
2. To determine the overall standing, score for each sports event will be sum-up. The top
three schools with the highest points will be awarded as over-all champion, 1st runner
up and 2nd runner-up.

GAME RULES AND FORMAT

Basketball
Rules

● The game is guided by regular basketball officiating game.


● Score table shall be composed of 1 representative per school and the game committee.
Team

● The team must be composed of mechanical engineering students from the school they
represent.
● One team per school.
● Participating team may have a maximum of 20 players and all players will be allowed to
play in any game but will follow the “15 to play rule” during the actual game.
Time

● A 10 minutes default time shall be implemented


● 10 minutes running time will be given for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter and 10 minutes
pausing time for the 4th quarter.
● Three (3) timeouts of 30 seconds is given per quarter for every team
● Overtime shall be 5 minutes.

Game format

● Participating team will be divided into two Brackets (A and B) at three teams per bracket.
● Single round robin will be applied for each Bracket for Elimination round. Two teams
with highest win in each bracket (A and B) will proceed to the final round.
● In case of 3-way tie on team standings during elimination round, Quotient system will be
applied.
● For final round, the number 1 of bracket A will face the number 2 of bracket b. Number 1
of bracket B will face the number 2 of bracket A. The winners of the said games will
move to the championship. The losers teams will battle for 3rd place
Volleyball
Rules

● The game is guided by regular volleyball officiating game.


● Scorer table shall be composed of 1 representative per school and the game committee.
● Matches are best-of-three sets, each sets will be played to 25 points for elimination round
best-of-five sets to be played for 25 points from 1st set to 4th set and 15 points for 5th set
for the final round.
Team

● The team must be composed of mechanical engineering students from the school they
represent.
● One team per school.
● Participating team may have a maximum of 15 players.
Time

● A 10 minutes default time shall be implemented


Game Format

● Participating team will be divided into two Brackets (A and B) at three teams per bracket.

● In the event of a tie at the end of elimination round, the following criteria will be applied:
1. Number of sets won.
2. Point ratio. Quotient resulting from: total number of points scored / total number of

3. Set ratio. If there is still a tie after applying the two criteria described above, the team
will be ranked by the quotient resulting from: total sets scored / total sets lost.
● For final round, the number 1 of bracket A will face the number 2 of bracket b. Number
1 of bracket B will face the number 2 of bracket A. The winners of the said games will
move to the championship. The losers teams will battle for 3rd place

Chess
Rules

● FIDE rules will be applied in the game.


Players

● The players must be a mechanical engineering student of the school they represent
● Four players per school.
Time

● 1 hour will be given for each players per game.


Game format

● 7 rounds of Swiss-system tournament will be applied.


● The top 3 highest scoring teams will be awarded as champion, 1 st runner-up and 2nd
runner-up.
Ultimate Frisbee
Rules

 The game is guided by an outdoor ultimate Frisbee rules.


Team

 The team must be composed of mechanical engineering students from the school they
represent.
 A team may consist of a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 25 players.
Time

 Each game will be played for 30 minutes. Battle for third will be played for 1 hour and
Championship game will be played for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Game format

● Round Rubin will be applied.


● 1 time out for each half of the game, time out is 2 minutes.

JPSME 2019 Frisbee Schedule
MLBB Tournament

1. Must be a bonafide Mechanical Engineering Student of the following Schools; ISAT-U,


CPU, USA, WIT, NIPSC, UA, and CapSU.
2. Each school must have 2 representative teams.
3. Each Team must consist of 5-6 members.
4. Each Team must pay a Registration Fee of 250 Pesos.
5. Each Team will draw their own Bracketing and Team number.
6. Players must bring their own mobile phones/gadgets with the internet.
7. No Trash talk allowed. Anyone who will violate will result to a penalty of P50.00.
8. Teams must arrive complete at the venue on or before exact time of the game, team/s
who will fail to do so will be considered default and automatically lose the game.
9. In the first phase of the tournament, teams will be distributed in a bracket with a team
number.
10. There will be 2 brackets; Bracket A and Bracket B.
11. Each bracket will play a single round-robin game.
12. Top 4 teams in each bracket will be qualified for the Playoffs stage.
13. If ever there will be a Tie in a bracket, a tie-breaker will be played.
14. In the Playoff stage, there will be 2 brackets, in each bracket, top 1 will be matched with
top 4 and top 2 will be matched with top 3.
15. In the Playoff stage, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, and Battle for 3rd will be played in a
Best of 3 series. Grand Finals will be a Best of 5 series.
16. Hero: Ling will be Automatically BAN for the whole tournament.
MESS M.E. GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Candidate must be a member of the JPSME-PC.
2. Candidate must be male, at least 18 years of age.
3. The candidate must be enrolled in the mechanical engineering course and must present an
updated photocopy of his registration form with ID
4. Official registration and general meeting will be on NOVEMBER 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm.
5. Each candidate will have a total of 100 punctual points. Each delay in the passing of
requirements and late during rehearsals and other events shall be deducted and will affect
the over-all score.

PAGEANT GUIDELINES
Production number

1. The candidates will be having the production number as part of the introduction.
2. Rehearsals will start on Nov. 27, 2019 after the general meeting
3. Candidates must wear their university or organizational shirt the most creative way.
4. All candidates are encouraged to wear high heels.

Introduction

1. Candidates will be introduced by number.


2. Candidates will be given time to introduce themselves. (real name, screen name, age,
year, school, motto or hugot line)
3. Introduction must be short but clear.
4. Candidates are NOT ALLOWED to use vulgar words.

Talent

1. Candidates will pick a random situation.


2. They will be given time to internalize and get creative on how they will perform the
said situation using the props provided by the organizers.
3. Candidates will be given 3-5mins to perform the situation in the most creative and
wittiest way. Crowd humor is part of the overall scoring.
4. Candidates are not allowed to harm other candidates or the audience in any way
during the performance. If so, points deduction will be given or disqualification
depending on the damage due to the incident.

Awra lang: MARVEL fashion show

1. Candidates are given their specific marvel characters that they will represent during
the competition.
2. The candidate and his team must create a FASHIONABLE WEAR based on their
marvel character.
3. The designs are not necessarily and exactly like the costumes of the character, they
must embody the character and be creative in making the design NOT COPY the
character.
4. The materials allowed in making the design are STRICTLY RECYCLED
MATERIALS ONLY. Candidates and the team are not allowed to buy any material
except for glue, scissors, ruler and other tools used in making the design.
5. Designs shall be collected upon the official registration together with the other
requirements necessary in the general meeting on NOVEMBER 27, 2019.
6. Male characters are disregarded. Candidates must still represent the character in their
FEMALE VERSION.
7. Best design shall be awarded with BEST IN AWRA. The team will also be awarded a
certificate and prizes.
Question and Answer : 1st wave and 2nd wave

1. Candidates are encouraged to learn about the marvel characters.


2. They will be given certain lines from the marvel characters. They must guess the
character’s name or the movie title, depending on the line or description they have to
answer.
3. STRICTLY NO COACHING during this portion of the pageant. Any proof of
cheating shall be declared disqualified from the competition.
4. The 1st wave will determine the top 3 that can proceed to the 2 nd wave of the Q&A.
5. The 2nd wave of the Q&A will be asked by the judges.
6. The candidates will be given 1 min to answer their questions.
7. The candidate with the best answer and the loudest audience impact will be awarded
best in Q&A.

Special Awards

BESHY NY BAYAN
- candidates will have a pictorial on Nov. 27, 2019 at 10am.
- candidates must wear casual attire with the respective colors of their characters.
- beshy ng bayan award will be awarded to the most voted candidate.
- voting will be based on the number of 1 peso coins dropped under the candidate’s photo.
- counting of votes shall be on Nov. 29, 2019 at 12:00PM

MS. Photogenes
- Award is given to the candidate with the best photo
- Photo will be judged by the official pageant judges.

HUGOT Queen
- Shall be awarded to the candidate that has the best hugot with the most audience impact

Best in AWRA
- Shall be awarded to the candidate with the best walk and embodiment of the character
during the awra portion

Drama Queen award


- Best in talent portion

MS. Wow legs!


- Best legs award
