ML951 – AUDIT OF ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

CODE : ML951 Electromechanical Systems Auditing

SEMESTER :9
CREDITS :4
HOURS PER WEEK : 4 (Theory)
PREREQUISITES : MN243
CONDITION : Mandatory

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course prepares the student to interpret the different legal procedures that have
to be fulfilled so that the electrical activities in the country (generation, transformation
and distribution) are carried out without problems for the operation, maintenance,
safety and conservation of the Environment. Then it will be able to elaborate Audit
programs of the different specialties of the Sector to verify the fulfillment of the Laws
and Norms in force.

III. COURSE OUTCOMES

The student:
1. It classifies the Legal Regulations that must be fulfilled in the electrical activities in
the country.
2. Determines the working conditions that must prevail in all companies in the
Peruvian Electricity Sector.
3. Applies the concepts of the Normativity to identify the Observations that can be
found in the processes of the Audit.
4. Interprets the results of the environmental parameter measurements to make
adjustments if values outside the corresponding legislation are found.
5. It monitors the lifting of the Observations to ensure optimal working conditions in
the country's electricity companies.

V. METHODOLOGY

The course is developed in theoretical sessions in which the teacher presents the
main regulations on the aspects of Operation, Maintenance, Measures of Industrial
Safety and Conservation of the Environment, both national and international,
showing real examples of application. At the end of the course the student must
present and present a monographic work in which he applies the corresponding
regulations in one of the electric companies of the country. In all the sessions, the
active participation of the student is promoted.

VI. GRADING FORMULA

Evaluation System "F". Calculation of Final Average: FA = (AP + PEX + FEX) / 3 AP:
Average of Quizzes, PEX: Mid-term Exam, FEX: Final Exam
