respeitadas as seguintes regras:
máximo possível;
TAV
- lastro standard;

The machine is composed , of a mast built in 2 pieces to reduce transportation difficulties, an upper
part 13 m. long and a lower part 2.5 m. long, hinged together with pins and clips.
The cathead is hinged to the upper extremity of the mast, and can be tilted backward in order to reduce
dimensions during transportation.
The PULL DOWN group is located on the front of the mast and can be set in two positions, the first,
protruding from the leader when operating, the second, retracted for transportation.
The rotary slides on the guides of the mast through bronze sliding blocks. During transportation it is
CÓDIGO 091-006
The Kelly and the tool also slide on the guides of the mast: they must be removed during road
transportation.
On the excavator mounted version, the winches (main and service) are located' on the rear part of the
mast. On the crawler mounted unit they are located on the frame. They are well visible to the operator
on both versions and are equipped with rope holder.
The whole machine is mounted on the excavator or crawler undercarriage by means of a parallelogram
linkage that renders agile and immediate the conversion of the machine from transport to work
conditions.
TAV
USE OF R 12 EQUIPMENT
For use and maintenance of the excavtors or Soilmec base units, it is best to consult the manuals of
the relative manufacturers.
B) Supports of lower mast element on which the rotary table is placed during transportation.
C) Rubber dampers for support of the rotary are fixed to the guides of the lower element of the mast.
The ropes must be housed in their specific seats. They should never be taut or present excessive
slack. When climbing ramps or steep grades, or descening from trailer is is best to ballast
upstream.
TAV
Proceed with lifting of mast's parallelogram support by fully extending the pistons to stroke end.
Lift the upper element of the mast by means of the pistons F until perfect coupling with the lower
element is obtained without applying stress on either of the structures.
Fix the upper element of the mast to the lower element by means of the pins C and relative safety
plate fixed with screws.
Remove the mast supports B
Bring the mast into verttcle position.
Extend the pull-down jack so to align the stem lug with the connections on the rotary cradle.
Insert the apposite pin N and activating the piston, lift the rotary from its support C.
Remove support C and slide the rotary downward to full stroke of the piston.
To proceed with assembly of Kelly: rake the mast forward, connect the extremity of the main winch
rope to the swivel and slowly lift the Kelly.
Insert the Kelly in the Rotary (Pos. M Tav. 166-083). Lift both of them until the kelly guide head
CÓDIGO 091-006
0 is engaged with the rails on the upper part of the mast. The rails have beveled ends as to
facilitate insertion of the kelly guide head.
Mount the tool on the Kelly. Begin work cycle.
To reconvert the machine to its transportation configuration, carry out the above described
operations in exactly the opposite order.
TAV
Pull-down lever = Two different values of down feed forces can be. applied, a greater force for
casing driving and a lesser one on the Kelly tubes.
Casing driving = lever in back position ( red signal on) Kelly crowding = lever in forward
position.
Once loading is completed, stop rotation, lift the Kellies tubes until the tool has been elevated
to max. height with respect to the ground or at least to a sufficient height that the casing can
be removed.
Revolve the machine platform to permit dumping away from the hole.'
NB. Whenever the tool used for drilling is an auger, the dumping stage must be executed rotating
the Kelly at high speed.
This machine can drive and extract casings from holes by means of the special driving cap which must be
connected beneath the rotary gearbox.
A casing element with lower joint must be welded to this cap the length of this element must be approx.
20 cm. less than the length of the tool so that opening of tools, like buckets, is permitted and also
use of the maximum stroke of the rotary table.
It is opportune to have several drving caps, one for each diameter of the casings normally utilized."
Driving is effected by combining rotation of the casing with crowding; in fact the cap can apply the
max. torque or the max. crowd or pull force, to the casing.
CÓDIGO 091-006
The lever must be set to position B (Red signal on) during handling of casings.
The life and good performance of this machine depend, in great part, on observance of the
standards contained in this manual, the components which require constant and accurate control,
are the following:
1) Oleodynamic system
All the valves which are included in the system are regulated and set by SOILMEC; therefore,
any intervention on them must be motivated by evident reduction in performance and, in any
case, effected upon recommendation or in the presence of authorized personnel.
The values of the pressure settings and the characteristics of the system are indicated in the
CÓDIGO 091-006
tab. 5001-0171
For all data regarding use and maintenance- of the commercial components which make up the
system, the specifications imposed b^ the manufacturers in the relative documentation must be
followed.
A thorough cleaning of all parts of the system is necessary (tank, filter, piping etc.) each
time that breakdown, intervention on the system, or other causes may favor entry of foreign
bodies or parts into the circuit, which could cause serious problems to the system itself.
TAV
N.B.
The control of levels, refill and oil change must always be effected with the mast in vertical
position, Kelly resting on the ground and engine shut off.
B) Effect the first oil change in the epicycloid reduction gear and clutch after 50 hours of work;
therafter, change it every 1000 hours. (See Tab. 126 069)
C) Effect the first oil change in the two Kelly reduction gear chambers after 200 hours of work;
thereafter, change it every 2000 hours (SEE Tav. 126 069)
D) Every 50 hours check the tightening torque of the reduction unit and guide screws; in particular,
check the condition of the screws that connect the lower cover to the box and lateral guides.
E) Every 200 hours verify the degree of the axial clearance of the sleeve with respect to the box: it
must never exceed the value of 5/10 mm. If the gap exceeds the above mentioned value, it is
necessary to reset the conical roller bearing package, adding spacers between the bearing and the
CÓDIGO 091-006
upper cover.
N.B.
The adjustment with spacers must be such as to completely eliminate the axial gap and permit free
rotation of the sleeve.
F) Every 200 hours check the state of wear of the sliding blocks that guide the reducer on the mast.
If the sliding blocks are worn more than 1-5 mm, they must be changed.
TAV
During the first work period of the machine, the tightening of ' screws, bolts, fittings etc. that
connect the principal parts, must be controlled daily, as slacking may occur on account of
settling, vibration or impact.
a) Every 200 hours, effect a complete check of the general state of the tightening of the various
items.
7) Lubrication
The lubrication points of the machine are indicated in TAB. 126 070; it is necessary to verify the
efficiency of the lubricators and to change them if they are no longer efficient.
