PROGRESS REPORT

On June 12, 2016 at about 9:45 in the evening Bulan MPS received information from Romeo
Romero y Ridual, 56 years old, married, gasoline boy of Harold Winston Sea Oil Station situated
at Brgy. Zone-6, Bulan, Sorsogon that their gasoline station owned by Harold Lee y Yap was
robbed by one unidentified person armed with unknown caliber of firearm wearing black t-shirt.
Suspect took and carried away one color red sling bag from the cashier containing the collection
cash money amounting to more or less Ten Thousand Pesos (PHP 10, 000.00) in different
denomination. After which, the suspect hurriedly fled on foot towards Brgy. Zone-1, Bulan,
Sorsogon.
Upon receipt of said information, elements of Bulan MPS led by PINSP FERNANDO G
MANAYOD, DCOP, immediately conducted hot pursuit operation towards the direction of the
fleeing suspect for possible arrest and recovery of the stolen items. Upon reaching the said
place, Barangay Officials headed by Barangay Chairman Andy Porras who spotted the running
suspect, turned-over to the pursuing PNP personnel two (2) sling bag; one (1) colored black and
blue containing cash money amounting to One Thousand Nine Hundred Ten pesos (PHP
1,910.00) in different denomination, one (1) empty colored red bag with markings HAROLD
WINSTON SEA OIL STATION BULAN, SORSOGON and One (1) piece of magazine for caliber
45 pistol loaded with six (6) live ammos which were dropped by the fleeing suspect at the
narrow trail.  Thereafter, PNP personnel continuously conducted search at the perimeter of said
place. The suspect Jerry Gonzaga y Añora, 44 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of
Brgy. Aguinaldo, Bulan, Sorsogon who managed to hide at the roof of the house owned by
Lucita Reyno suddenly fired towards the searching PNP personnel prompting the policemen to
retaliate and inflicted several gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body. Suspect was
finally neutralized and arrested at about 11:40 PM of same date. Recovered from his control
and possession were the following items, to wit;
         One (1) unit of Cal. 45 Pistol with markings COLT MK IV SERIES
30 and COLT OFFICER’S ACP without serial number;
         Seven (7) pieces live ammos for cal. 45;
         Cash money amounting to three thousand fifteen (3,015) pesos in
different denomination; and
         One (1) black inside holster and one (1) empty shell for cal. 45.
         Arrested suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights in a
dialect known and understood by him;
         Suspect was brought to Pantaleon G. Gotladera Memorial
Hospital in Sitio Pawa, Brgy. Lajong, Bulan, Sorsogon for medical
treatment but was later on transferred to Sorsogon Provincial
Hospital, Sorsogon City for further treatment escorted by PNP
personnel Bulan MPS.

cases for Robbery under Art. 293 in relation to Art. 294 & Art. 148 (Direct Assault) of RPC were
already filed thru inquest proceedings before the Sorsogon Provincial Prosecution Office,
Bulwagan ng Katarungan, Sorsogon City, against the suspect docketed under IS No. V-13-INQ-
16F-731 and V-13-INQ-16F-732, respectively dated June 14, 2016 administered by Prosecutor
Arsyl Illuminado Funtanaers Villaroya. Bulan MPS is still waiting for the issuance of commitment
order from the court due to the suspect was still undergoing medical treatment at Sorsogon
Provincial Hospital.
