Application
Application Setup
Washing Machine
During communication with a PC, the washing machine must be
connected with communication cable to the PC.
The wash cycle data is send from washing machine to PC where
it is stored on harddisk. Plug On RTC (real time clock) maintains
Date and Time.
Wash Computer
A unique communication address must be set at the Configura-
tion Menu so that each wash computer will respond separately.
By default, the communication address is 255.
If Traceability function is required, it must be turned on at the
Advanced Menu.
• "Traceability" function must be turned on.
• "Traceability Store PC" or "Traceability Store DAQ" must be
turned on.
NOTE: If "Traceability Store PC" is used, the machine
must be connected to a PC via network or through a
USB to RS4685 convertor.
NOTE: "Traceability Store DAQ" must be cleared often.
To clear it, connect the machine to a PC and download
the stored data.
At the Running-Status screen can be monitored if there is com-
munication between wash computer and PC available.

Software Installation (CD-ROM,

1. Insert the installation CD in the CD-ROM or DVD drive of
your computer or download the software from Parts Connec-
tion (the download link is located in your model´s Related
Literature section).
2. If LMS Application does not start up automatically, double-
click the file “ LMS_setup.exe” on the installation CD.
NOTE: The installer will try to locate if a previous
version is still installed. If it is, you will be prompted
to remove the previous version. Follow the
onscreen instructions.

Clearing Name Cache
It is possible to associate a missing set-up with an existing one

Copying Wash Programs
Converting Wash Programs to Different Machine

active if wash process details are selected.

Besides the mode of conversion, the parts of the program step

the program step is converted, the step properties which are se-
lected here will remain at their default value.
Machine Identification Settings
The Machine Identification settings are used when the LMS Ap-
plication is running in an environment where machines with old
controllers or old software is used. For such machines, machine
type cannot be determined automatically in some cases and it is
necessary to set the machine type manually based on its address.

2. Click the Connect button. The Connect to remote system win-

3. Type in or select the address of the target computer, port on
which the server is waiting for incoming connections and the
server’s password. To remember the password in future con-
nections, select the Remember password checkbox. Click the
OK button.

Traceability
If you are experiencing traceability errors, please check the fol-
lowing:
• Check the communication cable (compare with the schematic
attached to manual).
• Check the connection of the communication cable from the
PC to the washer.
• Check that traceability is configured to the right machine ad-
dress(es).
• Ensure that the traceability functionality on the wash is turned
on (Advanced > Traceability) and its traceability report option
is configured to either StoreDAQ or Store PC.
• Check the status of communication between the washer and
the LMS Application on the machine’s status screen (item PC
Comm).
