Activity Title 85th National Book Week Activity
Venue and New Guinsaugon Elem. School , Guinsaugon Saint Bernard Southern Leyte. Location Duration 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Dates November 27, 2019 (Wednesday) Participants Pupils, Teachers, and School Head Total none Expenses Fund Source none Program National Book Week is an annual celebration happen in the month of Description November. It intended to encourage reading and literacy among Filipinos and to promote public libraries in the Philippines. Objective 1. instill in the young Filipino learners the love foe books and reading; 2. develop among students, teachers, and parents essential reading and literacy skills and needs; 3. promote the roles and values of Libraries in the school Brief The New Guinsaugon Elementary school joined the 85th National Book Narrative Report Week Celebration. To develop more of pupil’s love of reading, the following contest was done namely; The Joy for Selfie Reading, Bookmark Making using recycled materials, Storytelling, Spoken Word Poetry, Bookface, and Parade of Book Character. Through reading, pupils expose themselves to new things, new information, new ways to solve a problem and a new way to achieve one thing. With the theme: “Inclusive, Innovative , Interconnected” , it strengthen the development in reading and speaking to become more productive and empowered individual, The activity was done successfully Challenges none Encountered
