MiFi User Manual

Congratulations on your purchase of the MiFi for 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connection!
With the MiFi device you can access 4G LTE high-speed networks for faster apps, uploads and
downloads. Connect up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices to the Internet at once-laptops, tablets-and
experience download speeds up to 10 times faster than the networks before.
Caring for Your MiFi
Like any electronic device, the device must be handled with care to ensure reliable operation. We
recommend the following guidelines:
 Never expose batteries to temperatures below -20°C (4°F) or above 60°C (140°F). Never
leave the MiFi in an unattended vehicle due to uncontrollable temperatures that may be
outside the desired temperature for this.
 Do not charge the MiFi with portable power bank in your bag, that might cause the
MiFi to overheat. When charging your battery, keep it near room temperature.
 Do not turn on the device where it is prohibited, such as in airplane, in hospital or near
the high-precise instrument. Protect the MiFi from liquids, dust, and excessive
temperatures.
 Do not try to dismantle the device and accessories. Do not use sharp objects or use
excessive force to remove the battery or to access the battery well; this may damage the
MiFi and the battery.
 Do not apply adhesive labels to the MiFi, they might cause the MiFi to overheat and
they might alter the performance of the antenna potentially.
 When the MiFi is in software update process, switch function is prohibited, that might
cause software system to be damaged and update process to be failed.

Application Scenario
The Wi-Fi device (such as smart phone, tablet computer and game console) or computer (by data
cable) can be connected to the Internet through the LTE MiFi, illuminating as below:
Appearance
POWER SWITCH
Combine power on/off function and weak up function to one button.
 Press the POWER SWITCH button for 3s until all the indicators light up to power
on the device;
 Press the POWER SWITCH button for 3s until battery indicator flash to power
off the device;
 Press the POWER SWITCH button for 10s, the force shutdown occurs.
 Press the POWER SWITCH button for less than 1s, the device is weak up from
Low Power Mode.
RESET
If configuration parameter is forgotten, presses the RESET button until all the indicators are off
to reconfigure its factory settings.
LTE
This indicator to illustrate LTE signal state as follow:
 Green light indicates strong signal.
 Orange light indicates weak signal.
 Red light indicates no signal.
Wi-Fi
This indicator to illustrate Wi-Fi signal state as follow:
 Green light indicates Wi-Fi turned on.
POWER
This indicator to illustrate charging1 auto-identification state as follow:
 Green light indicates battery is full.
 Red light indicates battery is not full.
This indicator also show battery state in normal working state:
 Light turn off when working normally.
 Red light begins to flash when battery is low.
SIM CARD
Sim card installation port2
 Lift to open the SIM Card access cover located on the bottom left side of the
MiFi.
 Hold the card with the gold-colored contact points facing up3.
 Insert the SIM card into the slot.
MESSAGE
This indicator is not available for now.
IMPORTANT NOTE
1. Only recommended 5V@1A power adapter for charging, good heat dissipation
environment is required.
2. Only standard size Sim Card is supported, Nano Sim Card is not recommended.
3. Do not bend or scratch your SIM card. Avoid exposing your SIM card to staticelectricity,
water, or dirt.
Using Your MiFi for the First Time
Your SIM Card and battery are pre-installed. To get started:
 Fully charge the battery, when the POWER light green1.
 Power on the MiFi as instruction as above sheet.
 Find the default SSID and connect the MiFi to your computer using Wi-Fi.
Then you can enjoy the high speed Internet connection and customization now!
IMPORTANT NOTE
1. Only recommend 5V@1A power adapter for charging, good heat dissipation
environment is required. Before you use your MiFi, be sure to charge the battery for at
least three hours to ensure a full initial charge.
Configure Your MiFi for Customization
If customized configuration is required, please log on the web: http://192.168.15.1,The default
user name is admin, and the password is admin.

1. Recommend customized configuration.

LTE
Set Radio configuration
enable Radio switch.
Set PIN code of the SIM Card
 Input PIN code.
 If you input wrong PIN code more than 3 times, Sim card will be locked and
PIN/PUK codes are required, please consult operator.

Advanced setting
Set APN, to configure supported operators.
Set the flow rate
To conduct flow rate management.
 Set threshold of flow rate
 Set total traffic
 set end date of the flow rate

Update Your MiFi Software
Software Upgrade
Software upgrade process is triggered by consumers:
 System icon has a +1 mark to inform consumer that a new software version is
available.
 Firmware upgrade column provides Auto upgrade icon to trigger software
upgrade process. Power on/off function is prohibited during the upgrade process.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q:The indicators are off after powering on the LTE MiFi.
A:Use the adaptor to charge the device until the POWER lights green, and restart the device.
Q:After powering on the device, LTE signal light is red.
A:Firstly, log in to the Web management page to check whether SIM card is properly inserted,
Sim card reinstallation is required if necessary.
Q:After powering on the device, LTE signal light is orange.
A:Check the LTE signal quality.
Q:Fail to enter web page: 192.168.15.1 when using USB cable to connect MiFi with
computers.
A:Firstly, do not support MAC OS system currently. Secondly, please check whether the driver
is installed automatically. Thirdly, check USB cable connection.
Q:The battery indicator is flashing slowly or quickly and then power off.
A:This is the low power alert, please charge the device immediately.
Q:The battery indicator is flashing slowly or quickly and then power off, the enclosure of
the device is overheated.
A:This is high-temperature protection. Please cool it down and restart.
Q:The Wi-Fi signal light is green, but fail to get access to the internet.
A:Log in to the Web management page to power on and off 4G to reactivate LTE.
Q:In the process of firmware upgrade, the indicator blinks and the device is restarted
afterwards.
A: This is normal. Please do not conduct forced shutdown which may result in failed upgrade
and make the device unable to use. Warning and Attention.
