“A RESOLUTION INTERPOSING NO OBJECTION AND
OPPOSITION TO THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF
GASOLINE STATION BY MICHAEL C. COLON, THE PROPIETOR
AND WITHIN THE PROPERTY OWNED BY MICHAEL C.
COLON LOCATED AT BARANGAY PIGDAULAN, BUTUAN CITY”

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council may conduct public hearing and

consultation on issues which may affect the residents in order to determine
their views and comments on the matter and ensure their active
participation in any decision and/or undertaking by the Barangay on
matters of public concern;
WHEREAS, Section 16 of Republic Act 7160 or otherwise known as
the Local Government Code provides that every local government unit
shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied
therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its
efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the
promotion of the general welfare. Within their respective territorial
jurisdictions, local government units shall ensure and support, among
other things, the preservation and enrichment of culture, promote health
and safety, enhance the right of the people to a balanced ecology,
encourage and support the development of appropriate and self-reliant
scientific and technological capabilities, improve public morals, enhance
economic prosperity and social justice, promote full employment among
their residents, maintain peace and order, and preserve the comfort and
convenience of their inhabitants;

WHEREAS, The Barangay Council thru Hon. Dindo Hidalgo, the

Punong Barangay, issued a letter- public notice on January 23, 2020 to all
the residents of Brgy. Pigdaulan for the conduct of public hearing Re
Construction and Operation of gasoline station by Michael C. Colon, the
proprietor and within the property owned by Michael C. Colon located at
Brgy. Pigdaulan, Butuan City;

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council, headed by Hon. Dindo Hidalgo,

conducted a public hearing on January 28, 2020 at exactly two (2) o’clock in
the afternoon and consulted the general public and residents of Brgy.
Pigdaulan regarding the proposed construction and operation of gasoline
station by Michael C. Colon, the proprietor within the property owned by
Michael C. Colon located at Brgy. Pigdaulan, Butuan City;
 WHEREAS, THE RESIDENTS UNANIMOUSLY EXPRESSED THEIR
SUPPORT TO THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE
AFOREMENTIONED GASOLINE STATION AND DID NOT INTERPOSE
ANY OBJECTION OR OPPOSITION THERETO;

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved by the

SANGUNIANG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY PIGDAULAN in the
regular session, the expression of support to the construction and operation
of gasoline station by Michael C. Colon, the proprietor and within the
property owned by Michael C. Colon, located at Brgy. Pigdaulan , Butuan
City.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the excerpts of this resolution be

forwarded to the appropriate agencies and to the general public for
information and guidance.

Adopted this 3rd day of February, 2020 by the SANGUNIANG

BARANGAY OF BARANGAY PIGDAULAN, BUTUAN CITY.
