1. FORMULATION OF RESEARCH PROBLEM

The first step is formulation of research

problem.without the problem resesrch cannot
be proceed beacause their is nothing to proceed
from and proceed towards.it is an imp. step of
applied research.
2.REVIEW PREVIOUS RESEARCH
FINDING

Once the problem is formulated the next step is

to provide a brief summary.A brief summary of
previous research should be given.

For extensive survey literature published or

unpublished biblographies should be
recommended.
3.FORMULATION OF HYPOTHESIS

It is desirable that the researcher should

provide some suggestion or explanation of the
problem which the research propose to
solve.such tentative solution formulated as a
prepositionn is known as hypothesis.
4.RESEARCH DESIGN
The function of research design is to
provide for the collection of relevant
evidence with minimum expenditure
,time,money etc
-Research purpose may be grouped into 4
categories:1-Exploration,2-descriptive,3-Di
agnosis,4-Experimental
5.SAMPLING
It is a plan for taking respondent from
specific area or universe.The sample may
be of 2 types-
-Probability sampling means the
selection of unit in sample is based on
chance.
-Non-probability sampling is not based
on chance.
6-DATA COLLECTION
Data collection is the most important
work.The collection of info. must be
containing on facts which is from 2 types
of researches-
PRIMARY DATA is based on primary
source of
info.Example-observation,Experiment.
-SECONDARY DATA -The data whicj is
7-DATA ANALYSIS
Once the data is collected it is
forwarded for analysi.Data analysis may
be divided into 2 categories-
● Data processing-it include data
editing,coding,presentation,tabulation
etc.
● Data exposition
-Description,suggestion,explanation.
8.GENERALISATION OR
INTERPRETATION

If a hypothesis is tested it is possible for

the researcher to arrive at
generalisation.some type of research
does not have hypothesis for which
researcher depends upon theory known
as interpretation.
9.REPORT WRITING

The final step of research process is report

writing .The report should carry a title,brief
introduction of the problem.Report must be
simple but it require considerable
thought,skill,effort,and experience.
