2. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
PRE U – LOX is a grayish white powder that poses little immediate hazard. A single short-term exposure
to the dry powder is not likely to cause serious harm. However, exposure to wet PRE U – LOX can cause
serious, potentially irreversible tissue (skin or eye) destruction in the form of chemical (caustic) burns
or an allegoric reaction. The same type of tissue destruction can occur if wet or moist areas or the body
are exposed for sufficient duration to dry PRE U – LOX.

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

Eye Contact It causes an inflammation and may give serious damage such as blindness
Skin Contact It may cause a dry skin or an inflammation
Ingestion It may cause irritation in throat
The product is not combustible and is not a dangerous one in ordinary use.

3. FIRST AID MEASURES

 Eyes Flush eyes immediately with clean water for at least 15 minutes, and see a doctor
 Skin Rinse skin with water or warm water, wash well with soap. See a doctor if necessary
 Inhaling Move to ventilated area, and gargle with water or tepid water, see a doctor if needed
 Ingestion Drink a lot of water immediately, and see a doctor at once

4. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

None. Although PRE U – LOX poses not fire-related hazards, a self-contained breathing apparatus is
recommended to limit exposure to combustion products when fighting any fire.

5. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Gather it with a vacuum cleaner or a broom quietly to avoid scattering.
Waste disposal method is in accordance with each country regulations, etc.

6. HANDLING AND STORAGE

 Handling Wear suitable respirator, gloves, boots and protective glasses to avoid
ingestion, inhalation, skin contact and eye contact.
Use in a ventilated area
 Storage Store in a dry place and avoid contact with water.

In case of use in room, ventilation with enough capacity to control the dust quantity below the
allowable level should be installed.
In case a large quantity of the product is used in a closed area, dust catchers should be installed.
