Unlicensed Teen Driver Found with Marijuana

marijuana. One was an unlicensed teen
driver.

15-year-old juvenile was charged with
marijuana possession, ticketed for driving
without a license and issued a warning for
turning improperly.
According to North Augusta Public
Safety reports, officers stopped the teen
at 9:20 a.m. last Wednesday after she
turned illegally out of a business parking
lot. Police became suspicious when both
people in the car fidgeted, the report said.
They also smelled marijuana when they
approached the Nissan sedan and saw
the drug in plain view.
According to reports, a K9 sniffed the
car, and officers later found 14 grams of
marijuana and two small scales, typically
used to weigh drugs.

group of teens posted a video of themselves
in the fall with masks and guns at South Ai-
ken High School.
Lamari Toole, 18, and a juvenile have both
been charged with assault as well as having
a weapon on school grounds. The assault
stems from threats to a student, police said.

 Woman Calls 911 After Parents End Her Cell Service
A 36-year-old Ohio woman
was arrested after calling 911 to
complain that her parents shut off her
cellphone service.
Seloni Khetarpal was arrested
last Thursday for disrupting public
services. The arrest came after she
allegedly called for help twice and
begged cops to come to her family’s
fancy Canton home, located around
the 18th hole at the Glenmoor
Country Club.
Police say a 911 operator advised
Khetarpal to “only call for police
assistance for legitimate purposes.”
But despite the warning, the woman
called back two hours later about the
same thing.
The suspect, a real estate
salesperson, was subsequently
arrested and booked into the Stark
County Jail before being released on
$2,500 bond.
It’s unclear why Khetarpal’s parents
– who work as a gastroenterologist
and a pediatric dentist –cut off their
daughter’s phone service.

Tennessee Cops Arrest ‘Mule Kick Burglar’ Arizona Man Celebrates

Tennessee authorities arrested a man who was
nicknamed the “mule kick burglar” for a series of
business break-ins.
Robert Shegog, 35, was charged Monday in
connection to at least 59 Middle Tennessee business
break-ins, according to a news release from
Murfreesboro Police.
The suspect was nicknamed the “mule kick burglar”
because a video showed him standing with his back
to a business door and kicking it in. He allegedly stole
more than $100,000 from businesses dating back to
September 2019.
“The break-ins and thefts have rattled businesses in
the mid-state area, and we are grateful the businesses were closed, and no one was
hurt,” MPD Criminal Investigations Division Detective Shan Harris said in the release.
Sobriety with Drunken Theft
An Arizona man recently celebrated four months
of sobriety by getting drunk and stealing a
motorcycle, authorities said.
Jackson Brady Hanley Jr., 29, was charged with
theft of means of transportation after an incident at
a dealership in Mesa on Feb. 11. Hanley admitted
to being drunk off of Moscato wine and vodka.
Police say he grabbed a Kawasaki motorcycle from the dealership
and pushed it down the street.
Officers found Hanley resting on a fence about a mile away from the

ground next to him. Hanley confessed to stealing the motorcycle in
celebration of being sober for four months. The man caused about
$3,500 in damage to the motorcycle’s exhaust.

Mom Pepper Sprays 2-Year-Old Son During Fight!
An Augusta woman pepper sprayed her
boyfriend and hit her 2-year-old son at the
same time, leading to child cruelty charges.
Tiana Gaines, 21, was charged Saturday
with child cruelty and simple battery – fam-
ily violence.
Deputies Ray Parker and J. Shackelford
arrived Saturday night at an apartment on
Champagne Avenue and were immediately
hit by the odor of pepper spray in the air.
They became overwhelmed and began
coughing and sneezing.
The officers also heard the woman’s
2-year-old son coughing uncontrollably,
their report said. The child’s eyes were
red and irritated, so officers called for an
ambulance. Officers found the boyfriend in
the shower.
Gaines claimed that her child had taken
her pepper spray from her purse and be-
gan shooting it all over the living room. She
later confessed that she actually sprayed it,
according to a sheriff’s report.
She said her boyfriend was yelling at her
and she thought he was going to hit her
based on past experiences. “So she pulled
out her pepper spray and sprayed it around
to keep (him) away,” a report says.
But the spray also hit her son, who was
sitting next to her.
Gaines was arrested and her child was
turned over to his grandmother.

Albert Theodore Thompson Jr., 44, was

Mark Pennington, 50, was
