Mixing Ratio Sika WP Shield Primer W is a ready to use product. Dilution is permissible only
upto 10% depending on the brush ability to achieve the desired viscosity

Substrate Quality Concrete, mortar surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil & loosely adhering
particles. Steel & iron surfaces must be free from scale, rust, grease & oil. All
surfaces must be as true as possible

Instructions
Application Method / Application procedure may vary slightly depending upon site conditions, however
Tools general guidelines are as given below :
Apply the bituminous prime to a clean, smooth and dry surface by brush, roller or
spray. The consumption of primer is 0.3- 0.4 kg/m² in one coat. Coverage of the
primer may vary depending on substrate condition, porosity, ambient temperature
and humidity.
Notes on Application / The primer may become high viscous due to change in ambient conditions like
Limitations temperature and humidity that might affect the consistency and increase
consumption of the primer. Under such situation, a site modification by increasing
dilution slightly as per the instructions of the Sika ® technical personnel to achieve
the application friendly consistency of the product. The dilution is fixed on the basis
of site trials.
