TO
Mrs. Patricia M. AIRMAN is hereby awarded the Air Force Scroll of Honor
for exceptionally meritorious service in duties of great responsibility. During
the past 36 years, Mrs. AIRMAN served with distinction in a multitude of
volunteer activities which enhanced the quality of life for Airmen and their
families. She worked with enormous dedication to improve the lives of
thousands of people and, as a result, significantly improved the esprit de

corps of the Airmen who accomplished the Air Force mission. Mrs. AIRMAN
served in several leadership roles for the Officers’ Spouses Club and
volunteered countless hours to various thrift shops where her contributions
helped needy families obtain clothing and sundry household goods. Realizing
the toll the unique and hectic lifestyle “inside the beltway” could have on
military spouses and families, she took action and led, organized, and
performed numerous volunteer activities for spouses and their families in the
National Capital Region. Further, she helped increase military community
relations through her work on San Antonio Fiesta Celebration committees
and as advisor to the San Antonio Military-Civilian Club. Finally, as the wife
of the Vice Commander of Air Education and Training Command, Mrs.
AIRMAN graciously hosted senior diplomats, political leaders, and
international officers and their spouses with activities that strengthened
international relationships. Her contributions to the Air Force were
voluntary, performed as a public service, and demonstrated the highest level
of patriotism to her country. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of
Mrs. AIRMAN reflect the highest credit upon herself and the United States
Air Force.
