OUR STORY
European Cinema has always been a catalyst for
change. The stories told by authors like Manoel Cinema 18.03-29.03.2020 TAvira, Portugal
de Oliveira, Juraj Jakubisko, Bela Tarr or Emir
Kusturica, among other influential directors, have
the power to inspire us, they make us question
prejudices and stereotypes and increase our

issues in different or new perspectives. That
power that Cinema holds as an art form and the
way it will be used by the future generations
is fundamental to the success of a United and
solidary Europe.

The aim of “Our Story” is to foster a creative

using filmmaking. Young participants from
Portugal, Hungary, Slovakia and Serbia will share
with each other their national cinematic culture,
finding similarities and differences. They will PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES
learn the basics of film production by producing
their own multicultural short-movies.

LOCATION AND VENUE
POUSADA DA JUVENTUDE DE TAVIRA

Our project will take place in Tavira, Portugal, at


Tavira’s Youth Hostel.
The Youth Hostel is located in the heart of town,
giving us the chance to experience one of the most
beautiful cities in the Algarve southern region of
Portugal.
Participants will be accommodated in double or
quadruple rooms grouped by gender.
meals will be served at the same location every day.
The internet connection is generally good, but as
always be prepared that it might not work very
well.
Our sessions will take place mostly at the hostel
but prepare to have some sessions outside in the
town also.

DAY 0 NONFORMAL EDUCATION


ARRIVAL OF PARTICIPANTS OUR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED USING NONFORMAL METHODS.
DAY 1 WE WOULD NEVER DRAG YOU OUT OF SCHOOL TO DO MORE SCHOOL.

Guerilla Film DAY 5 Our Project focuses on building intercultural dialogue between
Pre-Production young people. therefore our focus will be in sharing and learning
DAY 6 (Script-writing, Storyboarding) more about each other’s cultures.
Basics of Filming Cinema as a powerful art form will be the backbone of this process.

(Cutting, Audio, workflow) DAY 9 storytelling and Film Prodcution.

(Editing Movies) From Scriptwriting and storyboarding, to using a camera and

TRAVEL INFORMATION
CJE will cover and provide all flight tickets From Budapest to Lisbon and
return as well as bus transportation to and from Tavira to all partici-
pants from Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia.

18th March 2020


Participants from HUngary, Serbia and Slovakia
Arrival to Budapest Airport until 16:00
Flight Time 18.20 - Arrival at 21:15
Transportation to Budapest airport will be arranged in detail
with each national group leader. Participants must travel
together with their group leader at all times.
Bus transport is organized for all participants from Lisbon
airport to Tavira.

29th March 2020


Participants from Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia
Arrival to Lisbon airport until 21:00
Flight TIme 22:55 - Arrival at 03.35
A Bus will transport all participants back to Lisbon
Exact time of departure will be communicated later.

Portuguese Participants
Travel arrangements to and from Tavira will be organized
directly with the coordinator and Group leaders .
THE TEAM
RUI PEREIRA
Project Coordinator
A bachelor graduate in Audioviusal and Multimedia and a youth worker for several years, he will be in charge
of this project. feel free to reach out to him with any doubts you may have. He will do his best to solve them.
A videomaker for more than 10 years he will be around to help participants in the filmmaking process.

AFONSO (Fonsi)
Multimedia
A Professionally trained videomaker, he will be in charge of the multimedia part of this project.
Don’t be surprised if he sticks a camera in your face, he’s just doing his job, so keep calm and smile on.
If you like social media, photography and video you can join the Multimedia Team and learn with the best.

OGNJEN STAMBOLOVIć
Group Leader
Ogi, as friends like to call him, has been involved in photography for many years now.
he is The mastermind behind Photography project Beogradjanin and an engineer.
Always ready for a joke, he will help the participants in the filmmaking process with all his expertise.

Natalia (Nati)
Volunteer
Nati is from Budapest, she is envolved with NGO INK for around a year now.
You could say this is her ideal project, as it mixes two of her greater passions, youth exchanges and filmmaking.
She will be around to help the coordinators and involved directly in the Multimedia Team.

PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED BY THE ERASMUS+
20o/10o PROGRAM TO HAVE A VALID EUROPEAN HEALTH
CARD AND TRAVEL INSURANCE DURING THE
ESTIMATIVE PROJECT DATES (INCLUDING TRAVEL DAYS).
