If I Were King…..
A very good day to the chairperson, honourable judges, time keeper,
members of the organising committee, parents, teachers and members of the floor.
Today, lend me your ears and spare me some of your precious time and allow me to
share with you about my visions to my country if I were king.
Before I proceed to my visionary affairs, let me bring you the true meaning
of a king; in its terminology; is the supreme leader of a sovereign state. Supreme,
yes, sounds to be very flamboyant, but to be a respected and beloved king by most
of his subjects is not easy. The true King should play various roles that are essential
to preserve the well-being of the people under his jurisdiction. If a king does not take
good care of the country and its population, then the country will not be prosperous
and will face many unforeseen problems.
First and foremost, If I were king, I would have to give a fair patronage to
every citizens regardless of race and religion. A solid unity between the people is
capable of creating success and excellence for the well-being and prosperity of the
nation. Therefore, I will always remind my people to stick to the element of unity in
order to maintain harmony among themselves. Security and unity must always be
kept as priority because the progress of a country is influenced by the situation within
our own country. If our country is meddling in unresolved conflicts, investors from
abroad will be doubtful and retreat their investment into our country.
In order to persevere this salvation of diversity, I will take my most
constant attention to the human-being development from the root tip, which is from
the aspects of education. I will ensure that the education in my country is at the very
high level stakes in parallel with the well-developed countries. I will provide free
education for those unfortunate families from primary school to university to reduce
parents’ burden. I will ensure that the education sector of my country creates high-
level, high-minded intellectuals. Despite all of it, it is important to instil good values
and practices among the youngsters. I want the new generations in future to be well-
prepared and balanced in spiritual and mental health. I will promote and support
religious occasions regardless of ethnicities and races, for the sake of developing
well-balanced human integrities and solidarity. Moreover, high-minded people with
very good values in foundation will improve the quality of education. In addition, I
also will make sure that education in my country is able to produce outstanding

leaders and high-class educated people to assist me in the all aspects of
administration of the country, hence raise the image of the country internationally.
Besides that, schools or institutions that offer technical fields to produce more
advanced generations in superficial technologies in my country will be expanded.
Since we are aware that foreign technologies like Korea and Japan are more
sophisticated than other countries in the world so, I will increase the infusion of
technological advances in all fields of my governance so that my country will be
globally competent.
My dear audience, among the things I will do for the country’s progress is to
change the attitude of the community to always strive to improve our weaknesses
and be innovative in various aspects of life for the advancement of the nation and the
people. I will develop strategic areas that will attract foreign tourists to the tourism
sector. It can help promote our country to foreign countries in the travel industry. The
development of tourism sector can contribute to the economy growth of my country.
The tourism sector can also provide employment opportunities to my people. With
the presence of foreign tourists, we can also motivate the people to improve English
language skills thus increasing the need of improving that specific international
language to attain employment, simultaneously lead my people to be more globally
competent. It is indeed compulsory for my subjects to have such sound skills in
communication which will promote my country to the foreigners.
I will also assist small entrepreneurs in all sectors such as handicraft
entrepreneurs and traditional food entrepreneurs. I will give them the initiative money
to advance their company to a higher level. These initiatives will help them develop
their source of expenses for living, especially for those living in villages and the
misfortune ones. I will make sure the economic resources in my country are stable at
most times. I will provide job opportunities to all walks of citizens whenever needed
and try my best to abolish the influx of foreign workers in my country. Therefore, I
can ascend the standard of living in my country and make sure that my country
grows exuberantly. I will advance the country ‘s infrastructure such as highways,
cutting – edge tourism sites and others to attract foreign tourists. I will also reduce
the consumption of imported goods and increase the consumption of local goods.

 In conclusion, the best governance was born from an authoritative and
passionate king. It is very important to determine direction and progress of a country.
The king who reign must be just, foresighted and ready to face any challenges. I will
try to be a good example to the people because I believe “Leadership through
example”.
