Please note that item 1.14 b) states that from 1 January 2017 Trainers and Assessors must hold either the
TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma or higher level qualification in adult
education (Schedule 1 items 1 and 2)

Job roles associated with this qualification relate to the delivery of training and assessment
in the Vocational Education and Training Sector. Possible job titles and roles relevant to this
qualification include:
Core Units:
TAEDES402A Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs.
TAEDES401A Design and develop learning programs
TAEDEL401A Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
TAEDEL402A Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
TAEASS401B Plan assessment activities and processes
TAEASS402B Assess competence
TAEASS403B Participate in assessment validation
Elective Units:
TAEDEL301A Provide work skill instruction
TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

Course Structure
Prospective learners can enrol in the whole program, or any of the skill sets depending on individual
needs. Please discuss individualised pathways with the Lecturer.
Please note: where possible, and within the assessment guidelines outlined in the training
package, assessments are clustered to more holistically assess the unit requirements

For students undertaking just a one off skill set the text book can be checked out at the
Central Regional TAFE Library and returned when you are finished
The Certificate IV TAE face to face mode is provided in scheduled, specifically structured
sessions which includes recognised skill sets. The program has been condensed for delivery
purposes only to meet the demands of industry and our client base. This means there are
post course assessment activities built into the program to allow learners the time required
to complete the qualification requirements
Because of this you are required to complete pre-course reading and activities before
attending your first sessions, and after course assessments will need to be completed
Your Lecturer will advise you of the requirements at the time of your pre-enrolment
interview
You MUST have an understanding of and be able to use Microsoft Office software:
Word and Excel (headers and footers, copy and paste, page numbering,
referencing)
If you do not have the skills or technology required please discuss options at your
pre-enrolment interview
It is preferred that you are in a workplace where you can carry out training and
assessment of groups and individuals.
If you do not have the skills or facilities required please discuss options with your
lecturer.
