Folk Dance ( Basic Fundamental Positions)

I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson the students are expected to


1. Identify different Philippine folk dance and its origin
2. Appreciate Philippine Folk dances
3. Learn the basic dance step and basic fundamental positions
4. Execute the basic dance step and basic fundamental positions of arms and feet

II. Subject Matter: Folk dance (Basic Fundamental Position)

Instructional Materials: Laptop, Projector and Speaker

III. Procedure
A.Preliminary Activities

*Video clip presentation of different folk dance in the philippines

IV. Abstraction
1. From the videos shown and the readings. Define what folk dances are.
2.How many folk dances have you identified? What are those?
3. How do you describe these dances?
4. Name other folk dances that you know
5. Are you familiar with the basic steps of these dances?

V. Application

Divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will be given 10 minutes to practice the basic
fundamental positions of Arms and Feet. They are going to Perform and Execute the following
steps with music.

VI. Assignment

By Group: Bring the following materials used in Tinikling folk dancing

1. 2 bamboo poles ( 9ft long)


2. 2pcs of Board or bamboo about 30 inches long and 2 inches thick

This activity introduces you to the basic skills in baseball and the mechanics on how each skill is properly
executed. Read the instructions carefully on how the skills must be executed. You will be given a chance to
perform them later. These skills will make you a better baseball player!

Form five groups. Each group will be given a manila paper and pentel pen. Each group shall form a circle
and will be assigned an initial question to answer for two minutes.

1. What makes softball an excellent means of enhancing family fitness and wellness?
2. Why is playing softball necessary in the promotion of family fitness and wellness?

V. Application

This activity introduces you to the basic skills in baseball and the mechanics on how each skill is properly
executed. Read the instructions carefully on how the skills must be executed. You will be given a chance to
perform them later. These skills will make you a better baseball player!

VI. Assignment

Draw the different equipment and Softball field in a bond paper.
