Working with the principle that “Teachers don’t discipline, they manage.”, The Discipline and
Formation Office heads the formation program of the school for both the students and faculty
and staff.
Discipline gives children a feeling of security by telling them what they may and may not
do.
It helps children to avoid from frequent feelings of guilt and shame for misbehavior-
feelings that inevitably lead to unhappiness and poor adjustment.
Discipline enables children to live according to standards approved by the social group
and thus to win social approval.
Through discipline, children learn to behave in a way that leads to praise that, they
interpret as indications of love and acceptance which is essential to successful adjustment
and happiness.
Discipline serves as an ego-bolstering motivation, which encourages children to
accomplish what is required of them.
Discipline helps children to develop a conscious the “internalized voice” that guides them
in making their own decisions and controlling their own behavior.
In principle, a teacher is the in loco parentis in relation with the learners entrusted to his/her care.
Utmost patience is required in dealing with disciplinary cases, exhibiting firmness but kind.
The DFO, together with the faculty and staff of the institution has established Policies on
Discipline that was carefully crafted to ensure a conducive learning environment.
C. Faculty Club
This organization aims to foster camarederie and harmonious relationship among and within the
institution. The instituion believes that the faculty and staff is the main backbone of the school,
thus providing support wholistically can bring about expected outputs of the school personnels.

2. Fostering community relations in accordance with DepEd and PPCNSHS goals and
objectives.
3. Creating programs that will introduce the PPCNSHS Spirit to the entire community.
Goals
1. Provide a more spiritually nurturing environment beyond the confines of the classroom that
enhances faith, service and commitment
2. Animate the community with the love of God and inspire them to commit themselves the same
mission to love and serve the last, the least and the lost
4. Provide an extensive pool of information, functional facilities and other resources for the
utilization of the community with the conscious effort to use them wisely, maximally, with care
and respect.
This serves as the “heart” of the school. Its utmost aim is to encourage students’ academic,

Programs
2. TABANG Volunteers. Tabang is a Cuyonon concept, which means “help”. Our DepEd Core
Values enjoined us to respond to the “signs of the times”. The TABANG volunteer program is
PPCNSHS’s concrete and direct response to the needs of the children and youth at risk, the
people who are victims of circumstance and marginalized by exclusion.
3. Advocacy. The school’s advocacy raises the awareness and engages the community to take
action on local and national issues affecting the society. Advocacy initiatives are drawn from the
current expression of the Institution’s Mission.
To ensure that it would have a greater impact to its intended beneficiaries and clear directions for
its works on peace and justice, it has identified the following advocacy areas namely:
Environmental Awareness
Scientific Advamcement for Sustainable Development
PPCNSHS, being a science high school, adheres to all the environmental policies stated by the
department and of the government. The school is supporting all the campaigns and programs
being implemented by the department.
