PROJECT undertaken:

A project on CONCRETE.

Title: “DURABILITY ASPECTS OF COPPER SLAG AS ALTERNATIVE TO

RIVER SAND”.

It was a group project of 4 members. It was submitted in my degree.

ABSTRACT: The main aim of the environmental protection agencies and the government are
to seek ways and means to minimize the problems of disposal and health hazards of by
products, some of the industrial by products have been successfully used in a construction
industry for the production of cement and concrete, copper slag is one of the materials that is
considered as a waste material which could have promising future in a construction industry as
a partial substitute of either cement or aggregates,

In this project work, M20, M25, M35, M45 grade concrete was used and the various
durability tests and non destructive tests were conducted for 40% replacement of fine
aggregates,

Career summary:

➢ Published a journal paper related to our project “DURABILITY ASPECTS OF COPPER

SLAG AS ALTERNATIVE TO RIVER SAND”.

➢ A Technical seminar on the topic “HIGH RISE STEEL STRUCTURES” has been
presented.

➢ A four day workshop on “INDUSTRIAL WASTE MANAGEMENT” have been attended.
