IS SEX EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL PROPERLY?

Nowadays, we can see so many cases of sex abuse which is involving teenagers. Especially
the teenagers in high school grade, whether they become victims or suspects. The most common
thing that makes them do the sex abusing is the lack of knowledge of the sex itself. Some parents
think that sex edu is a taboo topic to be disscused or just wasting time to tell their children about it.

To make matter worse, so many people have wrong preception about sex edu. They think
that sex edu is only about ‘relationship’ between male and female. But they are totally wrong, sex
edu is including the whole thing about sex, not only about the ‘relationship’ but also about sex
diseases, organs health, etc. Teenagers really need to know about that whole things. And what do
you think the most easiest way to tell them about it? Implement sex edu in high school? We know
that school has big role in creating an individu. Some issues said that government would implement
sex edu in high school curiculum. Some people support the government will, but in the other hand is
doubting about it.

Sex education is important for teenagers to protect themselves from any risks of sex abuse.
As we know, teenagers like to interact with so many people, they like to look for something new, try
a new thing, and they got that information from so many people. In this modern era we can’t deny
that we have to be careful in choosing friends. Sometimes, if teenagers are wrong in choosing their
friends, they can go to the wrong direction too. Moreover, they can bring themselves into a dark
world called free sex. As the impact of free sex, there will be pregnancy before marriage,
abortion,etc. Actually, this is as result of the careless parents. They don’t even care about the safety
of their children. They don’t even have time for their children, because some parents are just too
busy in handle their own job. And then, children don’t understand, they don’t know how to protect
themselves. So that, sex edu should be implemented in hgh school.

But in the other side, so many arguing about the efficientcy of it. They do believe that sex
edu in high school is not effective. Sex edu is given in the school. It’s just applied in the school
environment. When the teenagers leave the school, it doesn’t have any control toward their
students. School only has a little protection and control on their students when they are not in the
school. And it seems impossible for school to keep watching on their students activities. Moreover,
sex edu will disturb learning prosess in school. There are so many subjects in high school. If sex edu
implemented in high school ,it will make students have addition subject which make them think.
Even more, students will think that sex edu is more interesting than the others subjects. And
students will start to leave and forget another subjects which are much more important.

Actually, it all depends on how teenagers manage themselves in choosing friends in this
wide society in this modern era. As unstable teenagers , they need a guidance to guide themselves.
They need their parents to teach them, because the best education is starting at home. But, they
also need an addition education in school.
