About Kaya Natin!

Movement

Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership is a movement promoting good
governance in the Philippines composed of public servants, engaged citizens, and volunteers from
various organizations who espouse effective, ethical, and empowering leadership. For a decade now,
Kaya Natin has been known for promoting transparency, accountability, people’s participation, and
electoral reforms through our different initiatives.

About the Grant Program

Tayó Tayo is a grant-giving program looking for youth based in Quezon City who have a fresh take on
issues that surround them and are ready to take the lead through youth-led community projects. For its
first year, the program will choose ten (10) grant recipients who will receive Php 30,000.00 to Php
50,000.00 each, depending on the scale of the project.

Guidelines for Eligilibity

Grants are intended for projects conceptualized by the youth to address needs or problems of their
communities in Quezon City. To be eligible for funding through the program, project proposals must meet
the following requirements:

• Project must be led and created by individuals / groups composed of youth with ages 16 to 23
years old based in Quezon City.
• Proposals must be related to any of the following:
1. Access to quality, basic education for the youth
2. Empowerment of marginalized sectors (e.g. persons with disability, indigenous peoples,
urban/rural poor)
3. Improvement of public health
4. Increased youth participation in governance
5. Promotion of gender equality
6. Protection and preservation of the environment
• Proposed projects must be finished within a maximum of six (6) months, upon the awarding of the
grants to winning projects.
• Applicants who come from the same organization and want to represent their organization are
eligible to participate. Only one (1) proposal per organization will be entertained.
• Applicants who have just decided to form a group for the purpose of this program are also eligible
to participate. A group must be composed of a minimum of three (3) individuals.

Guidelines for Submission

• Template for the project proposals will be provided by Kaya Natin. Submissions with incorrect
formats will not be entertained.

• Submit your proposals to youth.kayanatin@gmail.com with the email subject
TayoTayo2019_[Project Name]_[Proponent’s Name].
• Deadline of submissions will be on November 30, 2019 at 11:59 pm. Proposals submitted
beyond the deadline will not be entertained.
• Shortlisted applicants will be notified through email after all proposals have been reviewed.
Announcement of proposals eligible for panel interview will be on December 16, 2019.
