Executive Summary

The final project for ETEC 5303 Learning with Computers K-12 does a great job

of demonstrating the comprehensive emphasis on identifying and evaluating the effects

technologies in their support roles in classroom environments. The primary focus of this

project is to create an informational website utilized for instruction under content areas

such as technology tools in the classroom, assistive technologies, instructional software,

different language areas, spreadsheets and the College Standards of Education and Health

Professions.

Within this report you will find several pieces of pertinent information that show

how much the student learner can gain from the applications of sites that pertain to

specific subject areas used for course instruction.

As a summative strategy I was required to review a peer’s website and provide

substantial feedback of the site and its entirety. This final project was created to reflect

the standards of the Educational Technology course 5303 as it relates to design and

course management and development.

The final project for ETEC 5303 was to create and develop a website that focused

on learning with computers in a K-12 classroom atmosphere. Each subject area on the

website was given on a weekly basis and required me to execute them in a format that

would strategically place them online for users to seek as informational resources.

For my final piece I developed my website on Weebly.com where I would be able

to build design and said pages in order that I found suitable for interested visitors.

Because this final piece focuses more on the development stages of the standards I will

further discuss the use of how each element was integrated and created for my final piece.
The main purpose of this site was to show our ability to create what we have learned and

place and on software that others will be able to have access to.

During the creation of my website many steps were followed. The first objective

was to build different instructional pieces that would adhere to each weekly requirement.

As instructed we were to take the lessons and apply a resource tool for each one and

collectively merge them with others on one website. Following this objective, we were

required to incorporate media, audio and any other type of interactive functions to further

elaborate each element that we would imbed on our site.

Today these particular project requirements have allowed many students to

develop online course curriculum for the use of teaching students inside or outside the

classroom.
