T ickets for Rockin’ the Fields of Minnedosa 2020

went on sale yesterday, one day after organizers an-
nouncement of the first round of acts booked to appear at
this year’s August long weekend festival.
During the official press conference at Brandon’s
Keystone Centre on Wednesday, the following acts were
announced for Rockin’ the Fields 2020: Nazareth, Our
Lady Peace, Loverboy, Mark Farners American Band
(The music from Grand Funk Railroad), Finger Eleven,
Aldo Nova, Foghat, Default, Nick Glider and Sweeney Photos by Karen Mitchell
Todd, Jack Russell’s Great White, Togue, Doug and The
Slugs, Ed To Zed, Filthy Lucre and Frankie and the Poor By KAREN MITCHELL
Boys.
Additional acts appearing at Canada’s premier clas-
sic rock festival will be announced as they are confirmed. A t approximately 3:10 p.m. on Friday, February 21st a
south bound semi travelling along the Highway #10
bypass, west of Minnedosa found its load was a little too
tall to pass beneath the Canadian Pacific Rail overpass.

committee plans to meet next week to revamp its
2020 celebration plans.
incident happened. The load did not fit through the over-
passes 4.6 metre clearance causing the large piece of ma-
chinery to be forcibly pushed off the flatdeck. The mo-
mentum of the impact sent the heavy excavator forward
(south) into the north bound lane, leaving gouges in the
pavement and crashing into the side guard rail on the
south side of the overpass. Fortunately, the truck driver
suffered no serious injuries in the incident and no other
motorists were involved in the accident. However, the ex-
cavator received extensive damage.
Manitoba Highways and CP Rail crews were on
scene directing traffic and inspecting damage. Both de-
partments were asked for official comment, however as
of press time Wednesday, our calls and emails had not
been returned.
