Lesson Plan N°2

Date: September, 22th. 2010 Level: 2° basico

Skill: Vocabulary

Expected Outcomes: The main objetive is that students learn vocabulary related to fruits and
vegertables and to express like/dislike.

Resources: Flashcards, handout, board.

Time Comments

Introduction 10 min • Say hello


• Take roll call
• Sing all the songs the students already know.

Core of the class 15 min • Ask student what we did last class. Ask them if
Pre-stage they remeber any fruit or vegetable we saw last
week.
• Show them the flash cards we use and ask them to
pronounce them one by one.
• Sing “the apple song”.

While-stage 30 min • Give students a handout.


• Check the answers in the board. Make students to
participate.

Post-stage 20 min • Play the tutifruti game with the whole class in the
yard.

Closing 15 min • Teach students a new song to say good bye

Core of the class 5 min • The teacher starts talking about a personal
Pre-stage experience and then ask them about their favorite
food. The teacher tell students that he/she knows a
song about fruits.

• The teacher plays they song in the radio and stick


While-stage 20 min ten flashcards of fruits and other ten of vegetables
in the board.
• After listening the song the teacher ask students
what fruits were named in the song.
• Ask students wich pictures belong to vegetables
and which one belong to fruits.

Post-stage 40 min • The teacher give students a handout.


• Check the answers in the board. Make students to
participate.

Closing 10min • Sing “the apple song”.
