Demonstrated compassion, empathy and As much as possible, I try to discipline
respect towards students of diverse students positively with dignity, calling
backgrounds and diverse needs them up to a better way

- E.g. I try not to dismiss a child’s question,


no matter how small, especially when it’s
coming from a child with learning needs
who is engaged in class (Mr. X bought 4
similar chairs at $384. → “Is $384 the
place?)

I cannot control how the child comes to me,


but I can control how I treat the child
