(a) Define Thermal conductivity and explain its significance in Heat
Transfer. How does the thermal conductivity of liquids and gases
vary with temperature?
(b) Explain the concept of black body.
(c) Define the terms:
(i) Total emissive power (E) (ii) Emissivity
(iii) Intensity of radiation
(d) Define and explain physical significance of Prandtl number.
(e) What is intensity of Radiation? Derive a relation between total
emissive power of a diffused surface and intensity of radiation.
(f) Briefly explain about thermal contact resistance.
