The avocado consists of 73% water, 15% fat, 8.5% carbohydrates (mostly fibers), 2%
protein.

There is 1% of Vitamin A which is good for healthy vision, skin, bones and other
tissues in the body.

11% of Vitamin C, necessary for growth, development and repair of all body tissues.

14% of Vitamin E, a key for strong immunity and healthy skin and eyes.

It also contains 18% of Vitamin K, which is needed by the body to produce


prothrombin, a protein and clotting factor that is important in blood clotting and
metabolism of the bones.

6% of Vitamin B1 also called Thiamin, that helps prevent complications in the


nervous system, brain, muscles, heart, stomach and intestines. This is involved in the
electrolytes that flow in and out of muscles and nerve cells.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) which helps convert carbohydrates into Adenosine


Triphosphate that is formed into energy is 10% in an avocado.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) which lowers cholesterol, eases arthritis, and boosts brain
function is 11%.

Pantothenic acid or Vitamin B5 is 28%- necessary for making blood cells and for the
conversion of eaten food into energy.

Pyridoxine also known as, Vitamin B6 whose significant to protein, fat, and
carbohydrate metabolism is 20%.
Folate that is particularly important for pregnant women is 20%.

Lastly, 6% of Choline that's an important neurotransmitter for memory, mood,


muscle control and other brain and nervous system functions.
