LEARNING COMPETENCY 5.1: Realize that all actions have consequences

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the 60 minute session , 80% of the student is expected
to:
1. Identify the positive and negative consequences of human actions
2. Be able to make choices that aim to create positive consequences
3. Realize the importance of making the right choices through a reflection
paper.

1. Who can give me the meaning of prudence?
2. Give me what is meant by frugality

C .Motivational Activity

1.Video Clip entitled: choices and consequences


2. Analysis / Process questions
a. What happened to the boy who did not follow the instruction of his
mother?
b. Would you believe it did not happen if he followed the instruction of his
mother? Why?

D. Presentation of the lesson

1. The students will be grouped into four(4)


2. The group will list down actions by young people.
3. The group will write possible consequences of the actions they
listed.
4. The group will identify either such consequences are negative
or positive.
5. Each group will choose a leader and a reporter who will share
their output in the class.

E. DISCUSSION / ABSTRACTION

1. Human action is something that people do or cause to happen.


2. Consequences is the result or effect of an action or condition.
3. Positive consequences –often referred to as the desirable result.
4. Negative consequences- often referred to as undesirable result

Situational Analysis

You are enrolled in the senior high school grade 11. You are the eldest of the family
whose parents are poor. Your Boyfriend/girlfriend asked you to stop your studies and
marry him/her if you really love him/her.

- What will be your action on this scenario?


- What do you think is the consequence of your action?
