A Report on Two Days National Level Workshop on “VLSI design for nano chips”

The R & D Cell has conducted a two days National Level Workshop on “VLSI design
for nano chips” at Dr. K. V. Subba Reddy Institute of Technology on 4th & 5th January, 2017.
Resource person for the workshop is Dr.K.Sudhakar, Assoc. Prof. in ECE & HOD, St. John’s
College of engg. & technology, Yemmiganur & Sanarys Private Ltd.

. In this workshop, total 50 students have been participated across various colleges of
Andhra Pradesh.

The Workshop has been started with a prayer song by the students, then with an
introductory speech by Workshop Coordinator.

During the workshop topics covered are:

1.Work with VLSI back end tools for microelectronic circuits & applications.

2.Work with ASIC front end software and perform RTL- Netlist-STA-Physical design-GDSII

3.Work with full custom design and develop complex applications

At the end of the session, there was a valedictory function in which Coordinator of
workshop presented the closing remarks and the Chairman Dr. K. V. Subba Reddy, and
Principal Dr. L.Thimmiah addressed the gathering. Resource Persons were felicitated by the
Chairman of the college and the principal. Finally, the session ended with the vote of thanks
by i/c R & D Cell.
