HB WORSHIP

CORE VALUES & DRESS CODE

CORE VALUES OF
H B WO R S HI P

Love God
As worship leaders, our goal is to live a life that reflects the love of Christ and shares our passion for
the presence of God.

Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has
clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by
what is false. Psalm 24:3-4

Love People
We share a genuine love for people and a desire to grow relationally closer with each other.

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from
his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then
make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in
spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility
consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own
interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:1-4

Pursue Excellence
We share a desire to excel in musicianship and continually develop the talents God has given us.
Sing to him a new song, play skillfully, and shout for joy. Psalm 33:3

Choose Joy
Our desire is to display humility and an attractive, Christ-like attitude that adds value to the lives
of those around us.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12

HELPFUL DRESS TIPS

Our goal is to help set the tone for worship and complement the service. We should avoid
causing unnecessary distractions through our actions or dress. Please review these tips when
selecting tops to wear while leading worship.

1. While looking in a mirror, raise your arms as high as possible and swing them in all
directions to ensure you are not inappropriately revealing skin.

2. Jump around to ensure your movement is not distracting or revealing skin. If so, cover
with a blazer or cardigan.

3. Layers are encouraged—add a cardigan, blazer, or jacket to ensure you are

appropriately covered.

4. If you have any questions, please contact your Worship Director.
