The PHILIPPINE SWIMMING LEAGUE, Inc (PSL), will be hosting the

169 PSL SWIM SERIES SHORT COURSE LEG 2 CLASS ABC on March 1,
2020 at the Diliman Preparatory School Commonwealth Avenue, Diliman Quezon
City.

This will be open to all schools and clubs regardless of affiliations and
memberships. Our primary objective is to promote swimming in all levels and to
foster camaraderie among swimming enthusiasts.

We are hoping that you will heed to our invitation and join us in our quest
for a more united and peaceful swimming community.

1. COMPETITION INFORMATION

1.1 Purpose of this Competition: Promote swimming event all over

the Philippines and introduce Philippine Swimming League as a
governing bodies of grassroots program towards professional
level of swimming career.
1.2 Event: 168th PSL Swim Series Short Course Leg 2 (NCR)
1.3 Date: March 1, 2020 (Sunday)
1.4 Day: SUNDAY
1.5 Venue: Diliman Preparatory School Pool Area
1.6 Pool Facility : 25m pool, 6 lanes
1.7 Referees decision is final.
1.8 One-start Rule shall apply for the invitational championship
and two start role for Novice Events.
1.9 Individual events will be swum as Timed Finals.
1.10 Competitions shall be seeded from slowest to fastest
1.11 Separate medals will be given to the swimmers of the different
categories (Class A, B and C (11 and Over))
1.12 Championship trophy will be given to the team garnered the
highest points and the MOS trophies will be awarded to Class
A, B and C per age band
1.13 The PSL CLASS AB and C could be a basis for international
competition for grassroots program tryouts. (Japan, Malaysia,
Hongkong, Thailand and Singapore.)

2. GENERAL RULES

2.1 There shall have three competing categories Class A, B and C

shall be given separate medals and points for the team
championship.
2.2 Only the official coaches are allowed to approach at the table
officials, no parents shall be entertained.
2.3 Deadline of entries shall be one week before competition and
the entry fees must be in bank transactions and scratches must
be three days before competition. (See. ENTRY FEE AND
ENTRY REGULATION)
2.4 In case the timing device malfunctioned, No protest shall be
entertained if the result is coming from the fact of the
competition (chief-timers, judges, referee)
2.5 While all reasonable precautions will be taken, the PSL or the
Organizing Committee will not be responsible or in any way
liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of property
or any other loss howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever
at any time during the course of this competition.
2.6 In the event of any question or matter arising out any point
which has not been expressly provided for in any of the rules
governing this competition, the decision of the Organizing
Committee will be final.
2.7 Each participating team shall be responsible for their first aid
and medical coverage.
2.8 In the event of harsh weather conditions that could cancel the
meet, PSL reserves the right not to refund entry fees or any
other charges submitted by the teams and/or individuals at the
meet for it is not per event payment scheme.
2.9 The team/s is/are responsible to carry their own trash out of the
venue; any violators shall fine P2000.00 or the sanction to
participate in any PSL event unless the payment of the said
amount has been made.

3. AWARDS

3.1 GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE medals will be awarded to the

top three finishers of the PSL Championship CLASS A,B and C
by age bond, (6-under, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12,13,14 and 15-over).
3.2 MOST OUTSTANDING SWIMMER trophy will be awarded
by age bond.(Class A, B and C Category)
3.3 Trophies for top 3 Teams on combined scores

4. SCORING SYSTEM
4.1 Point System
Individual – CLASS A (1st-20), (2nd-17), (3rd-16), (4th-15), (5th-
14), (6th-13), (7th-12), (8th-11)
CLASS B and C (1st-9), (2nd-7), (3rd-6), (4th-5), (5th-4), (6th-3),
(7th-2), (8th-1)
Relay - (1st-18), (2nd-14), (3rd-12), (4th-10), (5th-8), (6th-6), (7th-4),
(8th-2)
4.1.1 In case of a tie, the following will prevail accordingly:
4.1.1.1 Number of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals won
4.1.1.2 Number of Meet Records broken
4.1.1.3 Closest to Final Time
4.1.1.1. Closest to FINA Points

5. ENTRY FEE and PAYMENT

5.1 Individual Entry: P 700.00.
5.2 SWIMMERS MAY SWIM MAXIMUM OF FIVE (5)
Individual EVENTS plus 2 Relays (Strictly No DECK
ENTRIES)

The Team MUST PAY all the swimmers who are in the official meet
program, whether they swim or not.

COACHES’ INCENTIVES: P100.00/paid swimmer. Condition; if total

no. swimmers per day will reach 350 paid
swimmers.

6. ENTRY REGULATION
6.1 Entries Submission Closing Date: 7.00PM on February 25,
2020
6.2 Changes/Scratches/Additional Closing Date: 7.00PM on
February 27, 2020
6.3 Submission of Entries
6.3.1 Verifiable times must be submitted.
6.3.2 Entries with no seed time submitted, the existing time in
the database will prevail.
6.3.3 Entries NOT in PSL database will be declared NT and be
placed in the early heats.
6.3.4 All entries must be submitted using the Official Entry
Forms or in data base format.
6.3.5 Birth dates and Gender must be indicated in the entry
forms.

6.3.7 Swim-up is not allowed for individual events

7. AGE ELIGIBILITY
7.1 Age as of day of Competition for Class A,B and C (11 and
Over)
7.2 Coaches must make sure all ages entered are true and correct.
It is the Team Coaches’ responsibility
7.3 The team may ask to produce birth certificates. In case the date
of Registration on birth certificate is dated more than one (1)
year after the date of birth, swimmer MUST submit the
following additional documentation.
7.3.1 Certification of TRUE AGE from organizer’s appointed
dentist or physician or whichever body the organizer so
decides to appoint at the time the certification may be
needed.
7.3.2 Organizer is not responsible for expenses incurred from
acquiring said documents. Expenses to be shouldered by
the parents/club of the said swimmer.

8. PROTESTS
8.1 PROTEST/s must be in writing along with a protest fee of
Php1,000.00. Protests must be filed within 30 minutes after
posting of the results. If found valid, the protest fee will be
returned by the Protest Committee. Any protest filed beyond
the said time frame will not be entertained. Only the head coach
/ team manager may file the protest.
8.2 However the team is not allowed to file a protest if the
statement of fact (timers report, judges’ report, and referee’s
decisions) was showed on that particular event as stated in the
General Rules
