ECDL Module 7 - Practice Exam 1

1. Create a folder called Module 7 Practice Exam 1.

2. Open a new Word document and save it with the filename answerfile
practice exam 1 in to your Module 7 Practice Exam 1 folder. Enter your
name to the header of this document.

3. Open your web browser and go to the following web page


www.ictstudent.co.uk

4. Click on the ecdl link, then on the module 7 link.

5. Save the image of an apple as apple.gif in your Module 7 Practice Exam 1


folder.

6. Activate the web form 1 hyperlink.

7. Complete the form and press the submit button.

8. Take a screen print of the page with the form completed. Paste this on to
the second page of your answer file.

9. Use a search engine to search for information on apples (the fruit). Find a
site that sells apple products. Go to the page and copy the full URL to your
answer file.

10. Save the same web page in to your Module 7 Practice Exam 1 folder with
the filename about apples.txt.

11. Go to the web site www.rain-tree.com. Follow the link near the bottom of
the page to Rainforest information, facts and preservation. Copy the text
from the first bullet point on this page and paste it in to your answer file.

12. Set this web page up to print in landscape orientation and print the first
page only.

13. Close your web browser application.

14. Open your email application and create a new message.

15. Prepare to send this message to nrobinson@craven-college.ac.uk with the


subject apples and the following text in the body of the message Attached
is some information about apples that I think you will find interesting.

16. Use the cc feature to send the same message to njr2@btopenworld.com


and send a blind copy to nicky.j.robinson@btinternet.com.

17. Attach the file about apples.txt to the message and send the message with
high priority.

18. Open the message spring in your inbox.

19. Save the attachment daffoldils to your Module 7 Practice 1 folder.

20. Forward this message to njr2@btopenworld.com adding the following text


as your message I think you might find this information interesting.

21. Add your name to the end of the message and then send the message.

22. Reply to the spring message. Open the document spring reply.txt, copy the
text and paste it in to the body of the message. Send this reply with low
priority.

23. Search for the message in your inbox that contains the text timber
harvesting in the body of the message. Reply to this message. Open the
document timber reply.txt , copy the text and paste it in to the body of
the message. Send this reply with low priority.

24. Close your email application.
