How can I know God’s Will for My Life?

(Part 2)

Evangelism - Invitation + Friendship + Word Of God

Prayer + Follow up = Trusting -- Soul winning

Question and Answer-- Doing God’s will in our lives.

How can I know God’s Will for My Life?

It is God’s will in your life to win souls and make disciples because God gave you
a mandate to go and share the good news.

Matthew 28:16-20
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them

to go.17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.18 Then Jesus came
to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to
me.19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

THE BIBLE SAYS YOU SHOULD GO, SHARE THE GOOD NEWS AND MAKE A
DISCIPLE!

Why are you inviting people and winning them for Christ? Because you gain an
understanding that what you are doing is the right thing to do. You read, you heard the
word of God and you are just applying it in your life, doing what the Bible says.

Specific method in doing discipleship: After we invite them to church, we must do the
connect and care method:

1) Connect: Connect yourself and to ask them to come to a home cell group to begin
building a relationship. This can help accountability, prayer and staying connected with
people attending the church service and cell group. (After praying with the individual to
accept Christ, the soulwinner should explain the components of the Gospel and what has
happened once a person applies the Gospel to their own lives).

2) Care: Going Public with the Gospel

Care for the new believer by providing material to help their faith grow and following up
on them within three days. Bring bibles with you and give one to the person if he or she
needs one.
They should also be invited to Bible studies that have been set up for new believers.
Remember, they will have no clue that being a Christian involves going to a church
weekly, reading the Bible or what “walking in the light” means.

New believers will need a place for fellowship, acceptance and spiritual nurture;
much like a baby needs milk before enjoying solid food (1 Peter 2:2).

Effective follow-up is relationship based, and you should choose your trusted leaders to
do follow-up with new Christians.

You have to pray that they will trust you. TRUST is the important key in winning people
to Christ.

You let them know that you really care for them and you are a good disciple of the Lord
through your words, actions and the way you treat them.

You will want to make sure that you are connecting new Christians with people who will
not only tell them what living for Christ is about, but who will show them as well.

To serve people is an effective way of discipleship to win their hearts for Jesus.
Helping a new believer know what it means to follow Jesus. By spending time and
helping the new believer they will see that people in Church 153 genuinely care about
them and are not just inviting them to attend church.

Paul could speak of being a servant and leader: Both at the same time to serve
and to lead people in God’s way.

Ephesians 3:7
Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was
given me by the working of his power.

Colossians 1:25
Of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to
me for you, to make the word of God fully known,

1 Timothy 4:5-6
5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. (A Good Servant of Christ Jesus)
6 If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus,

being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will
go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
The Holy Spirit and us are partners. Go and share the good news of salvation. Go and
make a disciple!
