Title : Electro-hydraulics Circuit Design

Task #1: Control of a double-acting cylinder

Problem: A press-fitting device is to be used to assemble work pieces. If the preset press pressure
is exceeded (for example, because work pieces are incorrectly aligned), the piston rod must be
retracted for safety reasons. After a correct press-fitting operation, the return stroke should be
initiated when the value preset on the pressure switch of 3MPa (30 bar) is reached. A one-way
flow control valve is fitted in the supply line of the cylinder. Describe the point in time after the
circuit is switched on at which the pressure switch is triggered if the pressure is measured
upstream of the throttle valve.

Procedures:

1. Draw hydraulic and electro-hydraulic circuit.

2. List the required components.
3. Connect system according to the circuit diagram drawn.
4. Check the connection part and any leakage of oil

5. Turn on the hydraulic power

6. Set the pressure to 0.5 MPa (50 bar) with a pressure relief valve.
7. Turn off the power after practice
8. Dismantle and arrange the components
