Dear Colleagues,

Greetings from Mumbai! After a two year hiatus, the Scientific Committee at Rotunda-CHR,
Rotunda Blue and Rotunda Fertility Clinic have designed a very busy & contemporary academic
program: The International Consensus Meeting on Embryo Transfer and the Pre-Congress
Workshop on Intrauterine Insemination. This has been done in conjunction with the Singapore
Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Israel Fertility Association. The entire event is also
endorsed by the Indian Council of Medical Research along with some other National and
International bodies.

The Pre-Congress Workshop on IUI on 2nd December aims to make an update on the topic of
Intrauterine Insemination, bringing together many world experts in this field of Assisted
Reproduction. Our workshop will cover all aspects related to IUI: evidence-based data on the
value of IUI, health economics & cost-effectiveness, methodological aspects, sperm preparation
techniques and prevention of infection, media supplements and anti-oxidants, factors influencing
success rates, ICMR guidelines, IUI for lesbians & singles, low-cost IUI options in resource-poor
countries and associated ovarian stimulation protocols.

The main Meeting at the Lavasa International Convention Center will have two halls running
simultaneously; in one all aspects of Intrauterine Insemination will be discussed threadbare and
in the other hall, the focus will be exclusively on Embryo Transfer and its role in Assisted
Conception. The main objective of this Meeting is to give an updated overview on all aspects of
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and Embryo Transfer (ET). Emphasis will be given on interactive
discussions between participants and experts on practical issues of the subjects under discussion.
The target audience of this meeting is the clinicians, laboratory people, nurses, coordinators and
other related persons working in the field of Assisted Reproduction & Intrauterine Insemination.

I can bet my last penny that someone who steps foot into Lavasa for the first time will skip a
heart-beat! The first time I saw Lavasa, I was wonder-struck that India could give such a
wonderful gift to its citizens! George Wherry's words resonate in my mind every time I visit
Lavasa: "Truly it may be said that the outside of a mountain is good for the inside of a man."~
George Wherry, Alpine Notes and the Climbing Foot, 1896. Again the winter months will be the
best time to see the almost-extinct fresh-water crabs and the fruit-bats of Lavasa. For the trekking
enthusiasts, the nature trails are full of flowers & butterflies in December! For the adventurous
types, go rappelling with the official adventure company of Lavasa: Z-bac! There is a lot to do
after the academic sessions!

There are limited rooms at this hill-station and I would encourage you to register early. We look

 Rotunda - Donor Egg IVF Program

This is a wonderful treatment option for older women and women with
ovarian failure. Since it is not possible to reliably freeze eggs, for
Donor Egg treatment, we need fresh eggs. We would encourage you to
bring your own Egg Donor with you. If you cannot organize your own
Egg Donor, we will be happy to do so for you thru our Donor Egg IVF
program. On an average, we aim for the recipient & donor sharing
about 7-8 eggs each. Ours is an anonymous Donor program but we
provide photographs of potential donors to the recipient. Our Egg
Donors are screened for infectious diseases & also have a Thalessemia
screening done. We can provide any specific genetic testing at
additional cost. Once you select a Donor, we will initiate the Donor-Egg
IVF cycle. From day1 of your menses, you will start a prescribed dose
of Estradiol tablets (Progynova tablets or Estrace Tablets).
Subsequently, we will begin the Egg Donor's stimulation. You need to
reach India only on the day before the Egg Donor's ovum pickup. The
recipient needs to spend only five days in Mumbai beginning from the
day before the Egg-Pick up of Egg Donor. We have tied up with a
ground logistics company to facilitate our patients. Their teams of
professional managers work round the clock to make your stay
