Internship Programmes
The Construction Industry Development Council was established in 1996 by the Planning Commission,
Government of India along with Construction Industry, to streamline the functioning of the Indian Con-
struction Industry as the apex organization. CIDC membership includes various Ministries, Government
Departments, PSUs, Construction Companies, Financial Institutions, Educational. & R&D Institutions,
and Industry Associations. Since formation, CIDC has taken up several important projects related to the
issues vital to the Construction Industry.
About Programme
The technological advancement and rapid growth of the industrial sector requires professional education
system to continuously update and upgrade at a matching pace, so that the learners are well trained in
new technologies and are able to adopt innovation to meet the challenges. In an endeavour to provide
quality manpower to the industry and to enhance professional performance of fresh engineers, CIDC,
jointly with construction industry, is offering variety of internship programmes for the students from the
core engineering disciplines (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering) & also for the teachers of these
disciplines.
The systematic approach of the programmes, with emphasis on the specific needs of the industry on a
real time basis, will enable learners to gain additional knowledge and exposure beyond conventional
education, and enhance their employability hence providing the value addition to Industry.
The programmes are of short/medium/long-term duration, tailored to meet the specific requirements of
faculty & students. Programme shall be conducted through a combination of classroom teaching, field
work, Term-end examination, field project and final evaluation of gained competence by a Grand Jury.
Placement
The students, who undergo this training, are eligible to participate in the placement meets organized by
CIDC.
Essential Qualifications
Students pursuing Diploma, Degree and Post-graduation in Engineering, Fresh and Practicing
Engineers, and Faculty of the Engineering Institutions can also join the program to enhance their skills.

For program code 1001~1005 ` 2,000/- per day on twin sharing basis.
For remaining programs ` 5,500/- per month.in CIDC student hostel. The extra days shall be cal-
culated on prorata basis. (For Non-Residential Students )
