Conclusion

Backed up by related literature and related studies, the findings of this study confirm that

there is a significant relationship between technological competency as caring in nursing and

patient safety competency of BSN Alumni of University Z, and that there is a positive

relationship between technological competency as caring in nursing and patient safety

competency of the BSN Alumni of University Z assigned in operating rooms and intensive care

units.

Thus the first two null hypothesis, starting with the fourth research inquiry, which states

that there is no significant difference between the levels of technological competency as caring in

nursing when grouped according to profile was rejected, and the second null hypothesis, which

states that there is no significant difference between the levels of patient safety competency of

the BSN Alumni of University Z when analyzed according to profile was also rejected. Finally,

the third null hypothesis, which states that there is no significant relationship between

technological competency as caring in nursing and patient safety competency of BSN Alumni of

University Z was rejected.

Furthermore, this only indicates that, when the respondents are technologically

competent, it can be of great assistance towards the patients and can increase the safety and

efficiency of the intervention.
