36TH ANNUAL HAWAII PACIFIC HEALTH GREAT ALOHA RUN

Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 17, 2020

ROAD CLOSURES NOTICE

With upwards of 18,000 entrants expected, the Great Aloha Run will again be a very large road race held on
the streets of Hawaii. Despite the best efforts to minimize traffic disruptions resulting from this race, some
road closures will occur. Coordination with the Honolulu Police Department and Department of Transportation
has determined the following traffic closures necessary. Hopefully, knowledge of road closures will enable
drivers to avoid needless frustration and undesirable delays by planning in advance.

Some tips which might make travel easier:

* Ewa-bound traffic to Downtown will be diverted onto South Street and from there use South Beretania Street to
Punchbowl Street to get onto the freeway. Traffic on the elevated portion of the freeway should be light.
* Avoid using the Middle Street and Dillingham Boulevard intersection, as delays on these streets may result from
the closure of the Middle Street Interchange.

The Honolulu Police Department will attempt to let cross-traffic flow through once the bulk of the racers have passed.
Most roads near the airport should be re-opened to cross-traffic by 9:00 a.m., and Salt Lake Boulevard between Kalaloa
Street and Aloha Stadium should re-open by approximately 9:45 a.m. Your patience, support, and consideration through
the past years has been greatly appreciated. The Great Aloha Run could not occur without the outpouring of community
spirit each year. We hope you and your employees will join us in this event.
