These are general space requirements that the board has identified but they expect
suggestions from the architect to add spaces that would enhance the working
environment as well as maintain the general image that they want to project. As such,
the designer must research and determine the other relevant spaces that must be
included in the headquarters.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Develop a comprehensive space program that will guide your design. It should
include all spaces not mentioned above but are important to make the facility
function

2. Develop the designs based on a selected classical style including neo-classical

architecture. Post Modern architecture is not acceptable for this client

3. Create fantastic watercolor drawings that will impress the clients.

PLATE OBJECTIVES:

1. To be able to develop well-coordinated and coherent schematic plans that

include all columns, windows, and doors in the plans;
2. To be able to develop well-coordinated and accurate sections and elevations
where all windows, doors, steps are all accurately placed in plans, sections, and
elevations;
3. To develop and hone planning skills that take into consideration the unique
requirements of different clients;
4. To develop the ability to work in plan, section, elevation, and perspective
simultaneously, duly checking drawing coherence;
5. To understand how the different senses, influence the creation of the built
environment; and
6. To produce well thought-out and visually appealing presentation drawings.

RESEARCH:

The outcome of the research must be submitted in an A4 Paper (landscape format) with

RULES:

1. Students will have to design the house based on the Space Requirements
provided with a +/- 15% of each space
2. Circulation is not included in the Space Requirements and can be added in the
plans
3. All plans, elevations, sections, and perspectives should be accurate in terms of
measurements, drafting, and projected relationships
4. All design guidelines and codes should be complied with
5. All columns and grid lines should be indicated in the floor plans [Note: Not the
column targets, this is a schematic drawing, not a construction document]
6. The bank should be buildable within known engineering conventions [but you
can push the limits]
Remember the drawing convention:
A FLOOR PLAN IS CUT 1.50 METERS ABOVE THE FINISHED FLOOR LINE……. And you HAVE
to draw everything under that 1.50 meter cutting line. You have to keep this drawing convention in mind
as you draw. This “rule” will be the basis to evaluate the deviation from your collage.
